I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
Thundercloud Shaman saw play in sideboards during Lorwyn. Granted, not much play, but it was there. It was a nice way to pick off pesky faeries while providing a threat. This card could play a similar roll if weenie rush decks become a thing.
Personally I like this card from a prerelease/limited standpoint. It has a nice body for a good cost and has immediate impact, Even if it's small, on the battlefield. It can swing combat in your favor even with those little changes, or if you have multiple enchantments to cast you can clean up a board with this guy. I just wish he gave more devotion.
Really don't think people are evaluating this card contextually....This card is actually pretty god awful with whip of erebos. Either turn 4 you did nothing but play whip, then turn 5 you did nothing but play this guy, THEN turn 6 you whip back exactly one creature. If you play whip after this guy its even worse. Mean Turn 6 you did nothing but play whip and get a shrivel effect. Then turn 7 provided you have mana you whip back a creature and play an enchantment to essentially get a free drown in sorrow, I haven't seen a standard scenario explained where you want to be playing this outside of constructed, and even then by turn 6 in constructed most people are topdecking.
Doomwake Giant lacks the skeletal armor and isn't skeletal himself, but his cloak is oddly similar to Nito's and he is a giant that kills his enemies with a miasma. It'd be easy to alter his art to match Nito, just not for me (since I suck at drawing).
I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
"4B isn't bad for 4/6 body"
10 years ago, perhaps. Nowadays that's pretty poor. If you're paying 4B you want a creature that wins you the game pretty quickly. This has no protection (in fact it dies to Naturalize), does nothing against a lot of decks, and doesn't come down until late game. I don't think it's good enough.

Actually Nito himself is a Giant Skeleton that wears smaller ones
