Am I the only one who sees this as a higher rarity, bigger body reprint of Noxious Ghoul? They do almost exactly the same thing for their tribes, and cost the same. Needless to say, they are both great cards in their own decks.
Green one draws cards, black one kills things, but I bet the blue one will do something interesting. Instead of scrying or drawing, probably will allow you to cast things differently.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

Hey, constellation is just landfall for enchantments. Theros is really uncreative mechanically.
No, lands play a very different role in magic than enchantments do, and this fits very well into the whole block, and helps past enchantments see more play in casual formats. If they effectively reprint cards like, avenger of zendikar, or bloodghast for enchantments, that would be uncreative mechanically. Just because it has an enter the battlefield-trigger, does not mean its uncreative mechanically, it just has similar wording to a past mechanic. But it has different context, and effects on storyline, overall theme, and gameplay.
I think this could definetly have a place in standard, there are already a bunch of useful black enchantments, and he just fits right in with them, not to mention that there ARE alot of x/1's in standard, elspeths tokens, assemble the legion, brimaz tokens, soldier of the pantheon, dryad militant, master of waves, lifebane zombie, and there are probably some I'm missing.

For the first time this block... I want to play black at the prerelease.
That ability just screams "ABUSE ME!" - repeatable one-sided boardwipes? Yes, yes, yes. Now let's get a bunch of decent enchantments in black + another color (this dude is splashable!) and I'll enjoy repeatedly wiping someone's board in Limited.
That said, this is pushing me to make it work in constructed.

The blue one may give enchantments flash and counter spells.

Repeatable? How many cheap, good enchantments are there? Maybe 2? You're never going to do more than -2 or -3 a turn.

-3/-3 sounds good enough to wipe most stuff in Sealed, but you're right - -2/-2 will probably the realistic thing to aim for. Still not bad, that's a poor man's Massacre Wurm effect.
This card is really bad. You can't have these ETB trigger on cards that cost this much. Like seriously, what powerful enchantments are you playing on turn 6 to abuse this card? How many enchantments could you possibly have in your hand on turn 6? How relevant is this against any deck? Seems like it's just trash against every deck. Too slow to fight off aggro, Has no effect against control whatsover, even if it kills an elspeth army you're not going to kill elspeth in any realistic scenario. If you had a creature on board before this that could kill elspeth they would have just minused her to kill it. Even if this wipes her tokens out it can't attack that turn she'll make more tokens. And even if you have a followup enchantment Elspeth is at the very least 6 and this card won't kill her. And what is this doing against midrange? Kill an elvish mystic turn 5? Turn 6 you'll have 3 strong enchantments to play to kill caryatid and nothing else? Though I do see this as a blowout card against Mono Blue. Comes out right on time to stop an elemental army.
The difference between this and that Green constellation card is that green card fuels itself through card draw and there are multiple relevant green enchantments like boon satyr, courser, bow of nylea, mana bloom for 0, unflinching courage if you go that direction.
I don't like this card, it's too expensive for the nature of its ability.
Well, I like the idea of combining it with cards like shimmering wings that you can possibly replay 3 times a turn. But in standard I think that means Agoraphobia which costs too much to return to the hand.
Who says that there's only one Constellation card of each color? I bet you'll see at least one at each level of rarity per color.
P.S. Stop complaining about creativity, or lack thereof. We finally got a mechanic that isn't focused around making dudes big or triggering on combat or whatever. Thank the Wizards of the Coast for that!
I will not thank them for printing a poorly executed mechanic just because they've printed a huge swath of creature focused poorly executed mechanics.
I don't think I have ever wanted a functional Replenish reprint ever....
If we could get a 5 mana replenish, I'd be sooooooo happy. Or enchantment lands. Or both.
Doomwake Giant lacks the skeletal armor and isn't skeletal himself, but his cloak is oddly similar to Nito's and he is a giant that kills his enemies with a miasma. It'd be easy to alter his art to match Nito, just not for me (since I suck at drawing).
This guy also plays well with Herald of Torment. "Stumpy" the new black 1 drop Minotaur uncommon works well with this giving it more late game value cheap. Another neat trick with this is flash in enchantments during combat. Shrink all their guys to change the combat math. Black has had problems with agro decks like white and red where just the ETB -1/-1 could have value.
Yes, they can play more Elspeth tokens, but the problem is getting past chump blockers to hit her. This clears the way so your guys can get through.

As well as being horribly overcosted.

Because obviously Thoughtseize is safe, but Mana Leak is too powerful.

That's what everyone says, but then you ask them about a unconditional counters.

Better question: Why can't the art have the Gravelord Sword so I don't have to risk altering it myself?

But it doesn't. Nito has a body of skeletons and lives in a hole underground. This is just some raggedy giant in a field of flowers.

Drown in Sorrow and Bile Blight are just better when having problems against aggro or tokens.
