Worth noting that two of those are strongly implied to happen after the related block. My guess is they'll go for Ajani, Mentor of Heroes vs. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver. Ashiok's trying to create their own god and Ajani's basically declared war on gods, so he's certainly not going to let some nightmare mage add to the list of deities he has to un-deify. But Elspeth vs. Xenagos is definitely a contender. They made Jace vs. Vraska different from Izzet vs. Golgari, so surely they can do the same here in regards to Heroes vs. Monsters.
Back to Speed vs. Cunning, I have a feeling they'll make use of the Morph mechanic in both decks, primarily of that deck's central color (so red Morph for Speed and blue Morph for Cunning), since it's returning in KTK. But finding Morph cards for each is difficult as the only sets to feature Morph up to now are the Onslaught and Time Spiral blocks.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Am I the only one that finds it odd that they'd pick a 3UUU legend to be the face of a three color deck? I mean, with no background information on Khans and coming upon this deck in a store, I'd have assumed that Zurgo, Helmsmasher was heading a RWB deck, and Arcanis the Omnipotent was heading a primarily blue deck, with maybe one other color. I could totally be wrong on that, of course.
Hopefully they'll fix this with a Kiora deck in the next one.
But the next duel decks just have to be Elspeth vs Xenagos! It's the first time in many years that there's an actual planeswalker conflict in the storyline of a block, so they really could use it instead of making one up like lately with Venser vs Koth, Sorin vs Tibalt or Jace vs Vraska.
True, but I doubt after just doing Jace vs Vraska that Wizards wants to do another duel deck featuring a character that already had a DD. Kiora vs Ashiok could work in the sense of one trying to create their own god and being jealous cause the other one is simply being perceived as one. Kiora has been a character that most players enjoy ever since her digital game debut so it would be silly of Wizards to miss a chance to print her with Alt Art <3
Also allows wizards to fill the GU and BU gaps that have been missing in the product line.
(Besides do you want boring Mono W Elspeth or do you want to wait the the WB Elspeth that has returned from the grave )

There is a very limited number of cool, outstanding and wanted legendary cards that work off the U / UWR color schemes.
Jedit Ojanen is cool but doesn't portray cunning and really isn't mythic worthy. Keiga, the Tide Star is mythical and is usable in EDH but its style is tied in to heavily into the kawigawa block(also the whole lol dragon deadz khan rulez). Even Zedruu the Greathearted while having the right color scheme, it requires a certain style of deck to be built around and isn't really a portrayal of cunning.
That being said I would not worry about it to much, similar to how we saw Anax and Cymede in the Heros deck I am sure we will still get some sort of UWR legendary creature in the cunning deck

I would say Zedruu qualifies as cunning, and at the very least of the three UWR Legendaries we have is the most likely to be cunning. But yeah, I'm expecting we'll see some UWR cards. I'm really excited for this duel deck, Cunning is likely to be a lot of fun.
And assuming they don't want to go with any of the three they did, and they aren't going to show off any new Legendary creatures, at that point Arcanis makes as much sense as anyone else. The deck itself will probably lean towards Blue anyways.
Worth noting that two of those are strongly implied to happen after the related block.
This.
Given the past 2 years of Fall = Thematic/Preview release & Spring = Planeswalkers from related block, I foresee the next DD to continue the trend & feature 2 from Kahns (I'm strongly leaning towards 'ol Sarky of course).
I'm thinking morph would fit well here for both sides, & while not the best synergy, I could see them reprint almost any of the existing morph cards, especially all the old-border ones from Onslaught - This could also be where the ~6 or so preview cards come in as well of course.
Dollars to doughnuts we get Exalted Angel in here. I don't think there will be Akroma but we can wish.
And yes we will get more DD planeswalkers. Next DD will almost certainly be Elspeth Vs. Xenagos as that was the story behind the whole Theros block. 2016 will probably feature Sarkan vs. ? I am hoping for Nicol Bolas or a new Kiora but who knows at this point.
I hope there is something worthwhile in Speed vs Cunning. Helmsmasher seems kind of like bulk to me, and while Arcanis is cool, a lot of his mystic was his rarity. Last year we had Polukronos, before that we had Life from the Loam and Isocron Spectre etc. What meat will we get this time?

I'll disagree on zedruu for one reason, Aggressive Mining

So the discussion here died off as soon as the decklists were revealed?
Edit: Nope this is just the wrong thread.
