WotC will release a new wave of Commander 2013 decks in boxes of five, where two are Mind Seize and the three others is a random selection of the four others, increasing supply of the set with the highest demand.
Looks like Eternal Bargain might be the most expensive of the bunch now.
They should have done 2 mind sieze, one guaranteed eternal bargain, and the last 2 are any 2 of the other 3.
Perhaps, they should have done something like replacing Nature of the Beast or a Power Hungry with a Mind Seize or something, considering I saw a pile of Power Hungry at a walmart, and none of the others.
Whatever it is, it's cool now that we have a ton of mind seize.

They really wouldn't even have to worry about the mix like that if they just released sets of 5 of the same commander deck, but maybe they think that's catering to the demand a bit too much.

Agree with both of you. Since they won't let you just order specific decks, they should have made sure at least 1 eternal bargain was in each box with the 2 mindseize. that being said I'm very pleased they've compromised on this. great move in the right direction even if we're not there yet.
So, for those familiar with the process, how long between this solicitation and actual release? In other words, how soon will we see these new ones in shops? One week? One month?
Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised. This is actually an incredibly significant decision, since I believe it's the first time they've adjusted a print run directly in response to the secondary market. It's a small decision, but a step in the right direction. Here's hoping they will continue this trend.

Doing it separately, as a separate product is good because WOTC can see which ones are selling and which ones aren't.
In the current model, a Mind Seize sale is exactly the same as Power Hungry sale because they both have the same UPC codes.
My first thought was a slight pang that my playset of TNNs will drop in price, immediately followed by the realization that this is a great move by Wizards. An extremely quick reaction to supply issues when you consider the logistics involved, and something that gives me hope that they'll do more to address supply issues of other high-demand staples in the future.
This is awesome. I take away two important things from this announcement.
1. Wizards listens to customer feedback.
2. Wizards is concerned about the secondary market pushing people away from their game with absurd prices for cardboard.
Maybe this is a little too optimistic, but I foresee reprints of other overpriced modern and legacy staples in the near future.
I definitely see this as a precedent for what we might expect from Wizards in the future. Good job Wizards. From this point this thread will be devoted to speculation about Wizards revoking the reserved list. Aaaaand go.

This is the best news in a long time! Hopefully this knocks TNN's price down in the secondary market. Now if only they could have done this with Modern Masters....
This is an awesome decision by wizards. EDH shouldn't be about speculation. It's a fun format that people should get there hands on if they want it. That being said I think this is probably a specific incident because it is EDH. I can't really see this happening for any other format. I could easily be wrong though.

Also glad I sold off the money cards from mind seize before now. Here's hoping they drop so I can get more!

Mind Seize is only worth a little bit above MSRP. Combined value of these decks is currently around ~$90. With Two mind Seize your closer to ~$115.
Unfortunately I don't think this is going to get many True-Name Nemesis into the market, but I appreciate the attempt.
