That's true. Shops can buy from multiple distributors to get more product. The number that WOTC allocates to each shop varies based on the players/games reported through the WER. My shop has been allocated 4 decks, so I've been calling all of the distributors I work with to meet my player's demand. It's definitely a process that requires relationship building and ordering through multiple distributors.
Here in Europe a shop can only buy from a distributor, Wizards only delivers the 6(?) european distributors, no direct sale to shops, therefore it is for sure that we only get 8 decks (Maximum)
Well, it should be that you could get more from distributors. See, the 8 deck thing is just direct from Wizards, and most shops (as Stevenus states above) work with multiple distributors to increase that number (significantly most of the time). So if your shops only buy from distributors then you should have a much higher number of decks available than if they were only coming from WotC.
Wizards doesn't make money off the end user, they make money off LGS, which make money off us, the customer. If they did something like this, SCG, Channelfireball, and all the other big stores would have a total ******* ***** fit over the money the would loose. Only way wizards could prevent would be giving them insider information, that is currently illegal in the U.S. The big stores like SCG, Channelfireball, and TCGPlayer that do all the big tournaments aside from the PT and GPs are the people that drive magic sales the most. They do tons of marketing to sell someone else's product, and turn a profit from it.
No they'd make money off of that, how ever wotc will make more money by letting cards get to $50, $100 or $200 then printing them as mythics in $7 booster packs, or 1 ofs in $70 decks.
A 40 dollar mythic rare would constitute a must have 4 of that goes in many decks.
Stats About Mythics
-Mythics are on average 40% rarer than pre-mythic rares
(old blocks about 200 rares, Mythic blocks 35+ mythics)
-They are printing more new cards a year not less
(about 665 now vs. 630 in most pre-mythic block)
-To drop the value of a rare by $1 a mythic must go up $2
-In a 3 year time span deck prices doubled. I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause.

If there are 6 distributors, and you can get 8 decks from a distributor, then a shop can get 48 decks. I fail to see the problem.
And the MINIMUM you could get per distributor is 4, since that's the size of a single display. So each store can get at least 24.
This sleeve is included in Modern event deck.
It was previewed Nico Nico Douga from japan.
They look alarmingly similar to those included in the Commander's Arsenal. When I tried using those, they melted during shuffling on match 1 game 1. Meh.

^^That. Also Ultra-Pro are known for pilling in the corners after a while. The sleeves is the last that I am expecting from this product. I still have high hopes for the deck to have some value and descent playability.

There is nothing accurate about this post. When a product is truly limited, distributors don't get everything they ordered, so they allocate each store a certain amount. Each distributor has a different method for determining who gets how many. Some give preference to their prerelease stores, some to those who do the highest volume of purchasing through them, others to those who do the highest volume of purchasing regular Magic sets, etc. Often stores who have none of these things going for them are allocated zero. Further, most US distributors are breaking down the displays and selling these by the deck so they can allocate any quantity they want. I imagine the same is true elsewhere. In the US we have the benefit of being able to order Wizards-direct, and Wizards always allocates the same amount to every core store and the same amount to every advanced store (for this release, they are allocating four decks to each advanced store). The rest of the world doesn't have that luxury.
My store's in a good position. We're high volume, and well-liked by several major distributors. I expect to be able to get 40 or 50 of these decks. The same will not be true of most stores worldwide.
Any sleeve that look shiny will split. Stop patronizing UltraPro until they give us good ones!!!
I'll back this up, I've bought my last UP skeeves. I've got some normal opaque ones, and I'm tired of telling people not to stare too hard at my cards because they'll split the sleeves.

Yeah, those sleeves were not made with quality in mind. Mine didn't last long either, and they felt terrible. I hope these are at least a little better, but I am not optimistic.
Cannot reccomend KMC character guards enough. They double sleeve your expensive decks, AND protect your snazzy looking sleeves no matter how fragile they are.(looking at you every cool looking ultra pro sleeve ever)

So what sleeves do people use? Dragonshield? Will they be better than these?
I used to love Dragonshield, but lately they have let their standards slip. I have gotten multiple boxes where the sleeves are different sizes, so essentially you're playing with marked cards if you, say, put all your lands in the smaller sleeves. I won't be buying them anymore.
So somewhere in this sea of fetchland arguments and pseudo-information I remember reading that WotC tends to spoil products sooner if they feel they are a stronger release to help increase the hype. I believe the spoil window was somewhere between 2 and 4 weeks from the product launch? We are currently 24 days from launch and really haven't had any new information since the the original product info site went up. Every day that ticks by without new info makes me a bit more skeptical that this event deck will be something 'special'. Am I just being paranoid?

I like that sleeve. Any chance we could get a source? (Or maybe one card.... :))
