Pardon? Are you saying that a sorcery is better than a creature with an ETB effect because you might not be able to reuse the ETB effect with some kind of Flicker effect?
if they did the exact same thing, I wouldn't be. i'm not even saying one is strictly better than the other. i'm saying, at least in my EDH meta, they're about on par, and especially so when you don't have the means to reuse the sunblast angel's effect for extra value.
How does not being able to reuse the sorcery at all factor into this equation?
one of the most common arguments I have with people regarding similar effects between creatures and instant/sorceries is that the creature is always better because you may be able to use it more than once. I am, in the case of angel vs fury, attempting to say that one is not strictly better than the other and attempting to remove that argument before anyone tries to make it.

Ah, gotcha. It's just putting the pre-emptive argument at #1 threw me for a bit.
I definitely like the idea that Fracturing Gust will be in this, that card could REALLY use some new art, maybe something more relevant to everything besides Lorwyn.

Perhaps a deck is running Snapcaster Mage but no Restoration Angel.
Would mutilate make sense in this set? It certainly is effective at removing creatures from the battlefield, and I myself would very much like to see it reprinted in the new card frame with its original art, since both of its reprints gave it new art, but the original art is still my favorite.

About the only thing we can be relatively sure of is that it's a red spell---the Magic art team is pretty consistent at matching the color balance in a card's artwork to the color(s) of the spell. No way is that a reprint of, say, Armageddon. My money is on Wildfire, Decree of Annihilation... or maybeObliterate.
And do we really think the likely Wrath of God reprint is going to get new art? I usually love new art... but I'm surprised to say I was a little disappointed to hear this. The original Wrath of God art is phenomenal (not to mention its creepy-brilliant synergy with Damnation): That perfectly bright nuclear flash, and the devastation wrought beneath it, has always struck me as representing the wrath of capital-G-God in a way that lightning bolts and white tornadoes would fall far short of.
Also, I'd be shocked if they reprinted Armageddon, as some have speculated---it's one of those undercosted fun-sponge spells, with few redeeming qualities.

I strongly suspect that the card art spoiled is Savage Twister, I also really hope that there are some sick new arts for the inevitable Wrath and/or Damnation reprint.

Im assuming you mean the 7th-Xth ed art for Wrath. The original ABU art has the piles of dead creatures. As an old school player, that art is still my favorite.

Mine as well. Honestly, I am really tiring of the new art kick Wizards is on. There certainly some I like, and some that is needed, but for the classics like Wrath? Leave a few things alone for the sake of nostalgia. Heh.

they did reprint balance in one of these, and that card is so "unfun" that it's either banned or restricted in everything. I wouldn't doubt seeing an Armageddon pop up in here.

The magic art team is consistent with matching the colors in the art to the color of a spell. This is primarily yellow, so it must go in the color with the most yellowish aesthetic. The yellow cream mana symbol and card frame of red cards clearly means this is a red spell.
Personally, I'd look for strikingly similar art with similar colors to prove my point. Obliterate and Armageddon are cool and all, but the classic red sweeper Day of Judgement has some promo art (the Zendikar buy a box one) that looks just like this. I think that's pretty much proof that this is red.
New art kinda looks like a Cyclonic Rift to me. Storms and Birds usually belong to blue, correct?
Storms, yes, but the birds may just be for scale or dramatic effect.
It's also hard to tell whether that's a wind storm or a vortex of destructive magic.

Both foil Wasteland and Kozilek being at more than 100$ apiece, event a FTV-style price tag would be easier on the wallet.
Not by as much as you think. FTV's usually don't go for retail and are horrendously marked up, and will be even more so if highly sought after and expensive cards are planted in the item.

Cyclonic Rift seems a bit new, though- perhaps Cataclysm or something similar?
