That being said, having Magister of Worth 48/210 means either a completely gold set, or that normal color/alphabet set distribution doesn't apply here... assuming that Magister and cogwork are from the same set of course.
It's quite possible that the normal number-coding doesn't apply here and I pondered with the idea that they made it backwards. Aka starting with Lands, Artifacts, Multicolor. That leaves 47 spaces for lands, artifacts and multicolors with names beginning with later letters than Ma.
I'm really intrigued by the Cogwork. I don't even play Cube or particularly like Draft-Cube, but I still think it would be awesome to play with.
However that it will always be visible makes people aware of comboes and possible hate-drafting to disable comboes/strong similar cards in a single pack prior to getting passed to the player with him revealed. I'd prefer if you just had to reveal the card when you choose to use it, and then stuff it face-down into the pack you're passing. Thus nobody really knows where it is and who might be able to pick up multiple goodies in a single pack. Even more in theme of conspiracy (I would think).
Huh. The effect doesn't seem really unique now. I could foresee some cheating involved with this...
How? Its face up during drafting, everyone else can see how many you have. Also, if you 'sneak' one in somehow, it'll screw up the number of cards in the boosters.

I think he may be referring to the portion where you have to draft Cogwork face-up. I'd imagine that people who got it would keep it face-down until they wish to use it.
Hmm, the other players could always disqualify him for cheating I suppose, as the rules states the card must be drafted face-up.

That's right, if they try to use it then it's revealed that they had it and failed to keep it face up as instructed. If they don't try to use it then it's not that great a card but at the end of the game it'll probably be revealed that they had it and failed to keep it face up as instructed. It doesn't invite cheating any more than Morph did.
