those decks seems solid for a begginer and the green one seems like the best
I don't know the white deck has a lot of bestow cards and the tools to bring them back repeatably. Although the R/G does seem to have the most removal.
Man prerelease promo intro rares are so bad. Remember stuff like AVR and M13?
I imagine the fact that they weren't playable during pre-release events and weren't then put in the theme decks probably has to do with the power levels of these compared to those.
Pretty surprised they added Gift of Immortality and Curse of the Swine again. That's kind of lame. I was hoping they'd change them up a bit more. Green/Black and Green/Red look like the best ones.
Not talented nope not talented at all. These intro packs are not worthy of my money and i really was looking forward to getting two BNG rares instead of a theros rare but hey what can you do? The last intro pack i bought was from zendikar and it was the vampire one!
Hey, thanks for posting the lists. It appears that the links are not working as intended, however.
For better or worse, there are rares from other sets. Though it is nothing more than a gut feeling, I do not like it and it feels cheap or like cheating to do this.
Even as decks for newbies, these intro decks must have been concocted by the most cynical deck designers at Wizards. While they are not supposed to be tournament-level quality, they aren't meant to be this disappointing. Right?
If you play these decks against each other, it would seem that the RG one would come out on top, whereas the decks with blue seem to be weaker than the others. The BG one looks like hodge-podge but it looks like it works.

The RG intro seems to have the best value. But the RW and BG intros seem fun to play too.
Looking at them, the average cost of creatures is definitely higher than the theros intros.
Yeah would rather of gotten more unique rares, instead of the same old. But considering for example they could have went for a Hero of Iroas centered deck in white/green or white/red.
I am actually wishing for a boost to BW devotion, and maybe UR, and BG just to shake up standard for JOU.
Both the blue dual intros are terrible however.
And the intros definately don't seem to follow the specific colors of the minor gods: (RG,UW,RB,UB,GW), some are even repeated from theros.
Still irks me they don't even put 2 rares from the new set in these anymore. And recycling old rares they just used.
I used to buy these things - back when they were called "theme" decks and had their own deck boxes. Got quite the collection. But pretty much none since they changed it all around. I guess it must be working for them in other ways.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
My question is why they didn't print Pain Seer in the UB deck
Whether the card will actually make much of a splash or not, they are hyping it as the new Bob. Putting it in one of these would probably mean they sell alot less boxes off the bat. Why crack packs for your chase rares when theyre in the intro deck? This would also mean the intro pack that had it would be stupid money, potentially like Rats Nest (had umezawa's jitte). Again, thats assuming Pain Seer is as good as the hype (which I dont think it will be..)
That would have been cool though, I wish we saw more powerful cards in these, but that never seems to happen

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
To be fair to Wizards, we are not the target audience. The target audience is that random person buying these packs from Wal Mart, Target, TRU, etc. The fact that these intro packs are also sold in comic and game shops is irrelvant. Until the large big box retailer stops purchasing this junk, I doubt Wizards will make many changes. The fact that these include two boosters means that a random person is probably not going to complain.

The thing is though; Wizards doesn't need to put bad cards in them just to sell them to casual and new players. They could make them moderately good, like the RG one I guess, and then have them appeal to both players who want to start into magic and players who want to get a couple of good commons, uncommons, and rares.
The way I see this is like this:
The deck comes with two packs, so let's say that's about 8$. The intro pack is worth 15$ on average but I think LGS sell them for around 12$. So you're spending 4-6$ on a 60 card deck with some goodies. For that price breakdown I definitely think the RG deck is worth buying. If they have this one when I go to the prerelease on Saturday, I'll probably pick one up.

A very insightful opinion with that good old exemplar "Rats Nest".
Does everyone recall how none of the BOK decks sold, but people would hoard "Rats Nest" and then resell it at, like, 2 to as high as 10 times its original price? That was a pretty dark period in the secondary market as well as in Magic.

Yeah. I guess they don't have to put so much rubbish in these intro decks; I feel that Wizards are even cheating newbies.
How else would WOTC design intro packs in such a way that the store owners do not jack up the price?
I do wish that WOTC brought back the starter, advanced, expert level products. At least make the core set intro packs the crappy "for newbies" decks, while the block expansion decks are built for the people who want to learn the mechanics of the set.
For example, the blue black one is all about inspired. Make it so that not only does the deck teach the player how to use inspired, but also make it so that an expert player can make better use of the mechanics through hidden combos that a novice might not figure out.
What I'm trying to say is, for the block expansion intro packs, make it so that the decks teach the mechanics of the set to new players, and build them in such a way that if you are new to the game, the deck may seem like it is a piece of junk, but if you are an expert, the deck can become good if you know how to properly use it.
I wouldn't complain though. The decks don't have core set cards, and I really hope in the future, that core set cards stay in core set intro packs.
What exactly is the point of selling intro packs to experienced players? They don't sell as many, fine they just print less product, everyone else buys boosters instead like they are expected to. The purpose of these things is to get people started in magic with an actual deck, which leads to them buying more boosters down the road, nothing more.
lol other than that, I'm down with Springleaf Drum and Siren song lyre in the Inspiration deck (too bad it's only 1 each), along with Siren of the silent song. I think this one is at least a good start if you want to try inspired
RG and BG are probably my favorite ones, Grave play being one of my favorite things to do (for BG). PLUS Mortal's Resolve is TIGHT and it comes with 2! I wish Crypsis came with at least one of them.

Besides that, I think the BG one looks like the most funny of the bunch.
