White Weenie literally can make a standard competitive deck just out of Theros Cards. Sure they'll all Drown in Sorrow, but man they've got good cards!
The problem with White devotion is not getting many symbols because there are already enough cards to do that and which are far better like Precinct Captain
The problem is that there is no real payout in white. The only thing you can do is trying to ramp into Angel of Serenity or trying to get cute with Devout Invocation. It would need something with similar powerlevel to Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Master of Waves.
I mean compare Master of Waves with whites devotion card in Evangel of Heliod.
Getting out Elspeth, Sun's Champion two turns early is absolutely back breaking. Brian Braun Duin recently took a mono white devotion deck into an 8 man and won (he ran 4 Elspeth). Power/pay off isn't the problem. The real problem lies within the awkward curve. It's obviously a top heavy deck, sometimes running Soldier of the Panetheon and Angel of Serenity together with zero ramp outside of Nykthos. I've messed around with the deck for the past month and what kills it are the clunky openers and frequent mulls. If you "nut draw" however it's just like any other devotion build.
So this is the 2nd cat card with the flavor text "THE GODS DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT US" - Calling it again - Ajani becomes a God. Gideon/Elspeth replaces him in core.
This DOES seem plausible, considering the atheist cats DO have good devotion costs, ironcially.
I mean -- it's kind of seriously ironic that the devotion of cats makes Heliod manifest...

I know what you are saying and I should clarify myself a bit.
I messed around with a white devotion list too after the Pro Tour and it just cant compete with the other colors. Maybe not because of power but because of consistency. Mono-Blue and Black are absolutely streamlined and efficient in what they are trying to do while White is only powerful if it manages to ramp into 6 or 7 mana spells with Nykthos. I think its no coincidence that the two best devotion decks are the ones who dont need Nykthos at all since you will never have high devotion against Black decks or UW Control decks.
Precinct captain doesn't grant you token in the opponenets turn for ephara to trigger.
Well said, Themisto. The difference here is the Cat can provide chump blockers as a combat trick. You target the cat with any pumper and 'bingo' - you get extra blocker. Any other CIP cards and this could be better than it looks on the face of it. Somebody out there is salivating over ways to break this kitty.
Decent card though, in some white decks this can make you a cute lil army

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.

Still waiting on uncommon Leonin Bola. It's amazing with all these vigilance critters and also is super slick with Inspired. Maybe it was just too powerful.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
Im really thinking of building a cat tribal edh deck with kembha kha regent, other than that and some limited/pre release fun... thats the only place im going to use this card lol
With first strike, Vigilance is much stronger. Add in his token-spitting capability, and your opponent's attacks will be awful.

Why not play both?
In all seriousness, this card is looking like Limited playable only. There are most likely better 2 drop options in constructed for a deck like this.

Or even of Innistrad.

It's likely vigilant as a throw-in because Brimaz makes vigilant tokens and they want to only have one kind of Cat token.
Oh, sorry it makes CATS.
