I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
So with champion's first effect, It says sacrifice X creatures :. Does this mean I can sacrifice my creatures on the battlefield currently and then reanimate them?
No, because targets are chosen before costs are paid.

Whenever someone claims to hate blue I automatically assume they're a bad player.
Drown in Sorrow is seriously sweet. Infest would have been great in this format, Infest+ is just rediculous. Good luck playing x/2s or smaller once BNG comes out.
Ephara's Enlightenment is kinda nuts. Need to figure out what happens with Ajani's chosen. Because you can attach the aura to the creature but the effect happens before the aura resolves right so it doesn;t trigger the return to hand.
I like that enchantment. That is a nice enchantment.
Nice uncommon cycle. Aerie Worshippers seems the best to me cause making 2/2 flyers isn't bad when attached to a 2/4. She can block for me and I could use witch's eye or something to tap her at the end of your turn. Second best would be the Raiders. 5/5 that makes 3/3s is nice.
This is the black sweeper we've been waiting for? A sideboard card? A worse Anger of the Gods?
Sad Panda.
Oh no. This will see lots of play. The issue with anger is that it dealt 3 damage. this leaves X/3s alive.
Now you have a sweeper that clears out aggro, but doesn't kill your Sylvan Caryatid, leaving you with a 0/3 blocking mana dork. This card instantly makes the idea of a ramp deck much much better.
Limited Uncommon cycle: Check! These are interesting looking, and I can see myself playing both the Green and Blue ones often. The other three will be a bit more game dependent.
Way weird and awesome Black Mythic: Check. That first ability is pretty insane. Mass re-animation effects have a tendency to be pretty strong, and while you need to make an effort to get this one, it certainly feels fun. Definite casual home run.
Superior Infest? Check. That's a saucy looking card. Infest has been good in the past, and giving it a bit more value definitely doesn't hurt. Helps make Black-based control decks more viable.
The Aura is a sweet Heroic enabler. Giving a beat stick loaded with enchantments flying is also nice. Feels like a 'make you own' Wingsteed Rider.
**** you Wizards. I was expecting the strictly better Infest to be good.
It still will be? People played Pharika's Cure and liked it, this does work against people nutting out with Burning Tree/white weenies/etc.

The only good thing about this post is the edible chocolate roaches they gave out! Mmm mmm!

Wait a minute, edible roaches don't crawl! EDIBLE ROACHES DON'T CRAWL!
20% of the set, and the closest things that we have to Modern-playable cards are slightly-better Infest and Kiora's Follower, which is at best a 1 of in a Tier 1.5 deck. Nothing creates new decks. I am worried that this is going to be Dragon's Maze all over again for Modern (I'm a pessimist).

Uh, it is good. Very good, in fact. Infest would have been a sweet card on it's own, and the Scrylands should have demonstrated just how useful Scry 1 is on an already good card.
EDIT: oops, thought i read "from your gy." still interesting, though.
also, that skeleton...i've got far too many edh decks begging to try him out.
Doesn't matter, targeting happens when you put the ability on the stack (before you pay costs). You won't be able to target things you intend to sac.
BSkithiryx, the Blight DragonB
GAzusa, Lost but SeekingG
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
No, because targets are chosen before costs are paid.
Feel free to tell me yours!

That mythic Skeleton is certainly... something. And those token generators at uncommon should at least be decent.

White Weenie also can't dodge this with Brave the Elements.
