I think it would be FAR from game over even if you do get this on turn 3.... just sayin lol
I said it myself that this thing is a BUSTED uncommon. With multiple effects like that its bound to work its way in a deck somewhere.
I do like it, sucks that its the last uncommon spoiled...

What you mean by last uncommon spoiled? we have seen 30 of 60.
Not much synergy? Um, Phenax allows it to tap itself without attacking, so that it then untaps and triggers its inspiration effect. Phenax has fairly good synergy with inspiration effects, if you don't just want to swing in with creatures.
With 1 toughness it's not very worth it. Wouldn't hover barrierwall of frost all allow for more mill and act as better defense?
The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
I am totally fine with this card. I really like how it's an Inspired card with a damn decent effect AND evasion. If you don't have shenanigans to tap/untap it, you still have a probable chance of just getting it done the old-fashioned way.
This is an uncommon Hippie! AKA Hypnotic Specter
I like this card, I think this is fringe constructed playable even.
It is definitely strong for what you pay for, but not a focus card where anyone should try to abuse his inspiration ability.
That being said, my constructed combination is this
Maybe he is a component of a grixis aggro/disruption design that plays with mill, uncertain. What is certain is that the format has not had many good discard strategies aside from Thoughtseize in a little while

The red mage lives by the variance and dies by the variance. May the variance be with you, always.
I was under the impression that Hags had taken over for winged sirens in modern western pop-mythology, and that sirens were the non-flying near-mermaid half-nude harp-players??
Isn't that rather obvious? Even moreso seeing that when it comes to multicolor, only Xenagos and Kiora got a follower/fanatic. Ephara had an aura, Karametra an instant (which didn't use her name) and Mogis has Ragemonger. Nothing stops a Follower/Fanatic of Phenax being mono blue or black - just like Fanatic of Mogis was a mono red in Theros.
The followers are followers of planeswalkers, not of gods (Ashioks adept, Kiora's follower, Fanatic of Xenagos). I wouldn't be surprised if there were one for Elspeth, too.
Between this guy and Spiteful Returned I'm hoping that there's gonna be a 2CMC UB legendary zombie lord in the last set. Some kind of Returned king as a counterpart to Tymaret.
As far as dragons are concerned, doesn't Niv Mizzet semi-regularly make idiotic clone dragons so the people of Ravnica can see how amazing he is in comparison?

If they follow the same format that they did here (and I don't see why they wouldn't; we still have 5 minor gods left), then it's basically impossible. It'll probably be the 5 gods we haven't seen and Ajanni (he's not gonna be mono white, and RW is already taken, so GW is pretty much the only option), an uncommon for each of them, and then super Xenagos, likely as a 5 color (unless they magically decide that he is not, in fact, that important of a character to the Theros story after building him up so much, which doesn't make sense to me when he's been the central character in the plot and is on the splash for JIN.)
You remove his top deck == land , and makes hin draw the next card that might be good for hin ?
That is far and away the most backward reasoning I've heard all day.
There is -0- statistical difference between your opponent drawing the top card of their library, or the card underneath it. Either of the two cards is equally likely of being an unneeded land, or a vital bomb.
Why is everyone only talking about Springleaf Drum when it comes to Inspired abilities? Me I want to dump a Witch's Eye on them so hard!
That much is simple enough.
Springleaf drum has an activated ability requiring you to tap a creature, while witch's eye grants a creature an activated ability that has tap in the cost. This means that a freshly cast creature *can* be tapped the same turn with springleaf, while it would have to wait for the *next* turn to be tapped with eye.
That's not even looking at the fact that drum generates a mana, and doesn't need to be equipped, while eye costs a mana to equip it, and another mana to actually use it.

Think he meant dual color uncommon.

This card seems very cool, I like inspired so far, seems combotastic!
EDIT: are there any really great ways to untap a critter as many times as you want? Probably not in standard but what about in modern?
I remember using staff of domination for this with mana dudes in the past, but thats different orbviously

Color me awaiting in anticipation. I think that's a shade of dark blue.
But...
Uncommon zombie siren with flying..?
Wut?
I'm pleasantly surprised, but... wut? Seriously; wut?
... could it be a hag / harpy?

May be a sideboard card in constructed vs control decks
Decks:
Standard:
Gruul aggro
Modern:
MonoG infect
Edh:
Nekusar, Too bad you have to discard your deck at the end step.
Casual:
I'm trying to make tibalt work guys!
Dimir mill
I'll have you know when I saw Phenax spoiled,
I cried for only 20 minutes.
UBRSedris, the Necromancer KingUBR
The followers are followers of planeswalkers, not of gods (Ashioks adept, Kiora's follower, Fanatic of Xenagos). I wouldn't be surprised if there were one for Elspeth, too.
It's Hip to be a Square
The big problem with pure mill I'm seeing is if it doesn't work you are dead. If walls don't work then what? Walls aren't winning you anything
This + consuming aberration + god and suddenly you now are UB control that can win in whatever way is easiest.
soo Bug combo?
Siren of Silent Song + 2 Kiora's follower + Springleaf Drum + Illusionist's Bracers = GG

Or not
