Is he supposed to have one 'ability' from each color?
red - first strike
green - trample
blue - flying
white - vigilance
black - lifelink (I guess)
he seems fun at least....
the white instant looks neat. nicer then curse of swine, and the spirit seems sweet, would have been bonkers with flash.

I wouldn't write off the manticore that easily. We have some truly crap finishers in the pool and its near BSA with a method of resisting removal and perhaps a bit better combat math. I just doubt the deck exists that would be willing to go 5CC when everyone else is devotion this and devotion that
The spirit will go into my RW deck. Chandra, Pyromaster will still work for card advantage. It will see lots of play I'm sure. with similar work around.

Me: If you cast a hypnotic specter I'll punch you in the face

The reason I play black according to CrovaxtheCursed:
I don't really need to say anything because everyone else has already done it for me. I'll say something I don't think anyone else has said yet: Could Selesnya make a comeback now? This enchantment creature hoses card draw pretty hard. Anyone playing blue will hate this thing. I think if white weenie can survive sweepers, or if Selesnya can survive the sweepers, we might have a new competitive Aggro deck in standard.
We will probably only see Spirit used as a sideboard card in standard against Sphinx and Memory Adept, but a very good sideboard card. Significantly better in other formats I think.
Vial it in in response to Brainstorm. They draw no cards and put two on top of their library. Seems like a viable use for it since Brainstorm is one of the most played cards in legacy.
Chromanticore is fun, and will probably be a de facto commander in a lot of circles.

Quote from Skullum »
that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
Spirit of the Labyrinth seems very good to me, it might even see play in older formats. It hoses brainstorm and Jace pretty hard and beats for 3. In standard it will help white decks fight against control, which is obviously why they created it.
argh we all thought the Chromanticore was legendary :S.
why isn't it?.
Also yeah... it is.. really bad for such a hard to cast creature.
Doesn't have haste, doesn't have an ETB ability doesn't have any protection for itself. I don't really see it being worth it anywhere.
You somehow play a deck that can get it onto the battlefield you play it... and they kill it with hero's downfall.. you have nothing to show for all that effort.
I don't think it is any better than The White Archon prerelease card I have forgotten the name of. 4/4 flying, first strike for 6.
Ugh, that hatebear is going to see so much play, it hurts. It's good against Brainstorm, Jace, and Griselbrand in legacy, and Sphinx's Revelation in standard. This is a must answer threat.
Glimpse the Sun God will be fun in limited, hit them in response to Declare Attackers to null an attack then alpha on your turn! Suddenly- Blowout!! Or EoT, Heroic all my guys.
I won't feel safe against White the rest of this draft season.

I can't wait to build a terrible monowhite legacy deck with this and Thalia and then troll people with it. The look on someone's face when they are Thalia locked by your budget deck is priceless, and Shadow will lead to similarly fun games.

With all the silly comments in various Rumor Mill threads recently, I feel I now have to ask:
Generally interested in playing mono-white or is this a tongue-in-cheek commentary on Death and Taxes in Legacy?

Well Intimidate would be pretty useless on a five color creature, and black is secondary in lifelink, if I'm not mistaken.
