Still feeling like most of the tribute cards will not grant you what you want most of the time. Decent limited card, though.

6/6 for 5... No trample... all vanilla.
That doesn't seem constructed playable at all, but for limited I guess a 6/6 for 5 at uncommons is pretty solid.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
I think that this card compares favorably to Sylvan Primordial in a multiplayer EDH setting. It has the same power and it's 3 mana cheaper. We may have our next banned card on our hands.
Maybe if you had a Kalonian Hydra already on the field your opponent may be more willing to forego tribute. Otherwise it should have cost 1 less and have trample for it to be competitive. Neat limited card, though

I think you're misreading the card. It will never kill a noncreature permanent AND be a 6/6. It's one or the other. And it doesn't kill more than one, so it's not the same threat in multiplayer. It's just going to be a vanilla 6/6 for 5 because *someone* will have something they want to protect, so they'll give tribute. A 6/6 for 5 is efficient but with no evasion or immediacy it's not a bomb.

Except it doesn't ramp you and it doesn't affect all opponents.
Eh, realistically you would ramp into this, so turn 3-4? On T3 it's great, put someone back a turn from their bigger cards or get a 6/6. It just gets less good after that. Not a constructed card... Sadly; it's so close to Acidic Slime 2.0, but so far. I'd have loved if it was just a non-Deathtouch 3/3 with "EtB: Destroy a non-creature." for 3GG.
I will play this all day in Draft though. I absolutely love blowing up lands when people don't expect it... Also it kills other things or is big. Even a 3/3 for 5 is worth it in limited, just having the body is a big deal in a slow game.
In my opinion it need to be a 4/4 with Tribute 2, then same.
I would 100% play this in my casual mono green land destruction...

Do you understand how Tribute works or how giving your opponents the choice makes it terrible in multiplayer? I honestly can't see how you could even make the comparison - this is much more like a weak Acidic Slime where your opponent gets to choose whether or not they blow something up.

What do you think the card reads?
Because what I see it as reading is "either a 6/6 for 3GG or a Mold Shambler that costs less."

I really dislike Tribute so far...this card seems terrible.
If they drop this on turn 5 or 6 and I have an Elspeth (or something) out that I don't want destroyed, obviously I will pay the tribute. At that point in the game I will have some way to remove the creature.
If I don't pay the tribute, it is because I don't care about my non-creature permanents at that point in the game. This seems like a silly mechanic.

No I'm not. It's a 5 mana 6/6 the vast majority of the time. I just have to choose the guy with Sol Ring or whatever and I'll basically always get my big guy.

I understand how Tribute works yes. I don't think that it's like Acidic Slime at all. This is a more of a combo card. You can pair it with a kicked Rite of Replication to deal a ton of damage to people. 5 6/6s is a big game.
I can't believe how many people are taking him seriously.
I thought it was a pretty obvious joke...at least, I hope it is.
On-topic: I can see myself mid-picking this. Hopefully green will be able to get to 3GG before turn 5, meaning your opponent either has to deal with a slightly undercosted fatty or give up a land and deal with a bigger, deathtouch-less Acidic Slime.
Basically, if you want to open packs to get cards for Standard and Modern, the simpler approach is to just buy all the singles you need and then set some money on fire to make up the difference.

3/3
Seems decent for limited.

This might be a 3/3 with no relevant targets or a 5 mana stone rain most of the time.

It has been done.
If the opponent doesn't think they can answer it, it's a 3/3.

I refer to sig on this one, its worse than a 6/6 for 3GG, much worse.
Pretty big stinker. It should definitely have costed 4
Tribute does make for interesting politics, but I'm still waiting to see cards with it that are pushed.

6 power creature for 5 mana. Sylvan Primordial always does so much work in our games and he has 6 power too. I'd expect the cards to play similarly.
