Wouldn't it make sense to use the Greek concept of hubris and have Xenagos lose everything in the end for aiming above his place? Could be kinda funny if he was just an underpowered vanillla legendary creature in the third set.
Dude I totally called this too! I could see it. I don't know if I would have it or love it haha!

The only way this could be cooler is if they hired someone to paint his art like the art from Legends.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
I have a serious question because I think that this is a rumor floating around. Where does it say that Xenagos lost his Spark? I don't seem to be finding this information anywhere. Just because he has had a card printed where he is now a creature doesn't exactly lead to him trading in his spark. As a matter of fact, I'd be willing to bet the only reason he won't planeswalk is because he wants to be a god on Theros. He is simply a creature card for TCG purposes and flavor.
Additionally, I'd be willing to be this is how it ends. Since Xenagos is relatively new to planes walking, I'd bet that Elspeth and her team of heroes actually defeats him in the end, and somehow they exile him by forcing him to planeswalk, and thus he further becomes the God of Revels, and he has "Abandoned" his Godhood to the people of Theros. Temple of Abandon's dual meaning also foreshadows his absence, and him being lost in the multiverse, uncertain if he will ever return to his throne and with the power to do so.
Xenagos has been stated to still have the ability to planeswalk, but we have not been told whether leaving Theros will have any impact on his newfound godhood.
This seems really good.
Not too hard to activate as RG is the easiest color combination to get devotion in and even without it provides an awesome ability for RG. Just dropping this against something controllish you can start beating very hard every next turn with your polukranos and whatnot,

This god is very good for one main reason, his triggered ability can be used the turn he comes down. So having any creature in play when you play xenagos like polukranos will still get double power even if he doesnt benefit from haste the turn xenagos drops down.
