This set feels like it has the best uncommons of any set I can remember, totally digging it.
I imagine it's to strengthen limited play, given that it's BNG-THS-THS. Ups the ability to get something both playable and strong in BNG being as how you only get the one pack, and helps making color decisions in packs 2 and 3 much easier.
Not strictly better, but yeah, better. A lot of obsoleting going on lately. Not just obsoleting, but obsoleting cards that are either:
1) recent
2) already playable
3) both
But yeah, I like it. Just kinda frustrated at the design team lately for just taking off already playable cards, or slapping an extra ability (like scry) onto them. Bah.
I guess, but it just feels like it should get a different name, especially because they aren't similar (unlike the very similar Searing Blood and Searing Blaze).
I will say that I don't find the useage here particularly apt. Usually, the idiom is a cautionary saying, meaning that you will boon or bust based on your actions in life. If you do terrible things, punishment is your reward. And vice versa.
I'm just not seeing it here though. I think it would have been far more interesting if it had just gone the Common Bond route, but changed somewhat to "Target Creature gets +1/+1 or -1/-1 until End of turn. Target Creature gets +1/+1 or -1/-1 until End of Turn". Probably would have been GB at that point, but it not only would have fit the name a tad better and get the meaning across a bit more accurately, it would have been a lot more interesting to boot.
amazing for limited. you will likely be getting at least 1 heroic trigger and 2 counters, which is more then overpowered for a 3 mana instant. thank goodness it's uncommon, cause it's nuts.
Excellent as a Heroic enabler. Always interesting to see how things like this are worded, thus determining what it does.
Unfortunately, Reap What Is Sown (what a name, lol) cannot pump a single target thrice, but I suspect there could be rules confusion with Heroic if it were printed like Seeds of Strength or Common Bond.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
This is the strongest limited card spoiled so far except for the cat king (which is mythic so you could argue this is better). I'll first-pick this card virtually 100% of the time and splash for it very often.
Heroic only checks that the spell is a spell that targets the creature, not how many times it targets it. Sadly, Common Bond does not trigger Heroic twice.
This could make GW heroic a thing. Imagine you're fav 3 heroic triggers, at instant speed during combat. Could be some huge game making plays with this card. i hope it finds a home.

Not in constructed. 1. you wont ever have 3 heroic creatures out. 2. Why play subpar creatures and okay spells when you can just play GWs already above curve non-heroic creatures like VoR, AtoW, Fleecemane, etc.
Wait, so the difference between this and common bond is that bond can target the same creature with both +1/+1 counters, whereas reap what is sown can target UP TO three things, but not one thing three times...
Am I right about that?

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.

If you're thinking about double heroic Common Bond doesn't do that for you.
Either way I think I prefer Common Bond in a Heroic deck (next to Travel Preparations, of course).
omg, I laughed way more than I should have.

Is it just me or does there appear to be a cycle of 'strictly better' cards?

10/10, I tapped.
Strictly better than what? Common Bond?
Because you'd never want to have Common Bond put both counters on the same one creature?
I think you mean heroic.

Oh nuts. I didn't realize that.

now all we need is heroic to be playable in constructed...
