Hopefully I dont get flamed, and obviously im no master prognosticator, but Im thinking straight up minotaur tribal is going to be standard casual only.
Which is still awesome, dont get me wrong:)
We're missing at least 1 more 2 drop and at least 1 though preferably 2 1 drops to actually be viable, I think we need 1 more 2 drop to have a fringe deck that is actually playable.
LOL I had no idea about that rule, and I like rules That's such a useless rule by now indeed!
Well there isKhalni Hydra, but it only has colored mana symbols in its cost, so that rule only ever makes a difference when your Hydra's being taxed by, say, Sphere of Resistance.
I really want the next block to be enemy colored shards. Forget all the Demon/Angel/Dragon shenanigans with Kaalia EDH, I want a Black/Red/White Minotaur general with reckoner , this guy, and a slew of other cow-warriors!
This dude's going to slot into my minotaur deck no problem. I'd been doing pretty well with it, it just needed to be more explosive, and this makes turn four hilarious. Sure, they probably wipe my board after I swing with Kragma Warcaller and two or three other dudes for twelve to sixteen damage, but I just swung for friggin' twelve to sixteen damage.

Even if you don't really have a bunch of minotaurs to cast with it T4, it'll allow you to cast one or two and then still have mana to do things like activate Mutavault (Which, fun fact, is a 3/3 Trample with Rageblood Shaman), use removal, or cast Boros Charm in response to a wipe.

No, I'm guessing at Minotaur with Bestow. Actually, I'm not sure on this one. Does using bestow make a spell lose its creature subtype since its no longer a creature till its target leaves the battlefield?
That's the standard template. Check the oracle text on undead cheiftan, krosan warcheif, stinkdrinker daredevil. Yes, they're templated this way because the tribal type exists, but I wouldn't take that as any kind of indication that we'll be seeing a Tribal Instant - Minotaur any time soon.
Anyone else slightly Irked that this monger doesn't have a 2: anyone can activate this ability type effect? I understand this is a throw back to clericface, but the name seems like it should be a throwback to something else. Wasn't Warmonger a Minotaur?

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?

A 3/3 vanilla Minotaur that costs RB will be good enough, (a little like Kalonian Tusker).
Watchtaur?
