It looks like I am making a U/G simic deck. I wanted too before but down I have 2 reliable turn 2 untappers to mix with my turn 1 Elvish Mystic. And if they have the green finisher we all were hoping for, Karametra's Acolyte is going to be a second way to abuse devotion along with Nykthos.
I must build a U/G deck that also has Zegana's, Progenitor Mimic, Propet of Kruphix.
Now in terms of EDH, this card is going to be nuts in my Zegana deck. So many broken things to do with this card.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
Bear with upside! I really like this card as its flexibility extends far and beyond its own set and block.
Two things bother me though:
a) no class creature type. I know there is nothing inherently wrong but after so many years of race/class templating on reatures, seeing a sentient race without a class is a litte odd.
b) flavor text makes me feel kind of bad for how clueless this bastard is, eh. It honestly reminds me of how small and clueless we also are in the grand scheme of things.
All things considered, a home-run. Good job, design team!
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Goes well in a Modern Birthing Pod combo. Goes infinite with Kiki-Jiki and can untap the pod for value. Standard? Better Voyaging Satyr in UG. Plus good Inspiration enabler for draft.

The only way it goes infinite with Kiki is if you do it during your opponent's end step, otherwise you'd have to tap each one during your turn to untap Kiki, which sort of defeats the purpose. You're definitely losing some advantage trying to use this to go off.
Interacts with Pod and Aether Vial for value in Modern.
Allows U/G ramp to be a possibility in standard, with stuff like Nykthos or Gyre Sage/Caryatid.
This is very likely to see play in Modern Merfolk, The only problem is Modern merfolk is typically mono blue or blue/white or blue/black, but Aether Vial or splashing green might make it viable.
Just makes U/G ramp more viable. I like the idea of untapping Sylvan Caryatid for any mana I like.
Kiora helps too.
Get heavy on the creatures and play Garruk, Caller of Beasts.
The aim is to bust out Aetherling and win.
Need a little lifegain? I really like Horizon Chimera myself. I think it's underrated.
I think it's already been mentioned but doubling up on Bow of Nylea is quite sweet. 6 life? 2 +1/+1 counters? 4 damage to a flyer?? Skylasher suddenly trading with Desecration Demon lol

I approve, either way.
I doubt Kiora's Follower will see play in Modern Merfolk. Splashing a colour is unpleasant enough, splashing an enemy colour of blue is worse (fewer pain-free duals), and when your upsides only include Aether Vial shenanigans (that Merrow Reejerey comes close to duplicating), Turn 3 Master of Waves (and more reliable 3-drops, and more counterspell mana up, but...), and untapping fatter Merfolk blockers, I don't think splashing for only the Follower is worth it. (OK, fine, Follower can kill Phantasmal Image and Phantasmal Bear...)
I'd almost say that the Follower is more viable in Legacy Merfolk because untapping a swinging True-Name Nemesis is the nuts, but the increased weakness to Wasteland and Stifle is very real...

10/10, I tapped.
I think it's because blue likes to twiddle things.
Yeah, I don't think green can untap artifacts..?
Edit: elder druid
edit-edit: Nature's chosen. I suppose. But both these are fairly non-current.

Standard:
UR Ral Combo
Modern:
U Merfolk
R Goblins
Commander
RB Grenzo, Dungeon Warden
R Feldon of the Third Path
Ramps your mana early, enable inspiration triggers, allows abuse of powerful artifacts.
Witches' Eye might be almost playable with the right inspiration ability.
I approve, either way.
