The Prerelease Packs are as follows;
• WHITE - Destined to Lead
• BLUE - Destined to Outwit
• BLACK - Destined to Dominate
• RED - Destined to Conquer
• GREEN - Destined to Thrive
Does this indicate anything about the actual hero cards included therewith? Discuss.
The Leader
The Outwiter
The Dominatrix
The Conqueror
The Thriver
Well, Leader and Conqueror sound cool, not so sure about the others...
And "Destined to Outwit"? That seems like a rather lousy destiny compared to the others...
How is being 'destined to outwit' a lousy destiny? That was basically Odysseus' destiny in Greek Mythology, and he was badass enough to win the Trojan War with his smarts (Odysseus came up with the Trojan Horse gambit). Not to mention Odysseus' other adventures, most of which can be summed up with 'Odysseus made it through by being smarter than his opponents.' Not to mention that this was also Athena's modus operandi, and that Odysseus was her favorite mortal.
Each one will be a hero card, which may give a bonus like this:
The Leader - Give a creature +1/+0 for each creature you control
The Outwitter - Target creature is unblockable this turn.
The Dominatrix - Tap target permanent until end of turn.
The Conqueror - Gain control of target creature until end of turn.
The Thriver - Target player gains 3 life if they have taken 2 or more damage.
I'm not too sure how much wording is wanted on a hero card, but some of my "off-the-top-of-my-head" ideas may be either too wordy or too long, even though I think they are abilities that fit well with what each one does.

Uh... Well that one movie came to mind, Werewolf Women of the SS. I originally linked the trailer but it showed nipples in one scene, so you know, that was bad.
Destined to Lead - Iroas RW
Destined to Outwit - Ephara UW
Destined to Dominate - Phenax UB
Destined to Conquer - Xenagos RG
Destined to Thrive - Karametra GW -or- Pharika GB
That could be the breakdown of gods for this set---whether or not they have a chance at appearing in the PRE boosters.
Pharika would make more sense for the color balance, but the G/W scryland is supposed to be in, so if they make sure each god's land is in...
Though of course, BNG and JOU will only have 5 of the lands, so 5 of the lesser gods will have their lands in THS (and therefore not with them in their set).

Hmm, maybe "Destiny" gives a slight hint at the new mechanic in BNG.
Or...maybe not?
People can be destined to do things. Greek heroes' DESTINIES (root word: destiny) were to become the greatest. These prere packs names are fitting for each color (blue hero destined to become smart, therefore OUTWITTING enemies).
In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.
ugh, I was looking to play SOMETHING in the storyline during the prerelease, not random nothing decks.
It would of been awesome if we coulda played the factions like Akroas vs Minotaurs or Gorgons or Meletis or something. Or at least played under the multicolor gods as a faction (ie. Iroas or Mogis faction).
Daxos, Tymaret, Psychic Intrusion, Triad of Fates, etc.
That would open the door for them to have the multi gods as mythics in the respective packs (since they're kind of awesome and good for Public Relations). Especially if the gods are hybrid---which would mean playable in a monocolored deck.
"Destined to Outwit" in particular sounded very Ephara/Athena, and the others seem to fit very nicely with certain gods (and not with others, e.g. Keranos and his stormy fickle prophecy-ness doesn't really line up with any of those, or does Mogis and his ragey destructiveness).

for the outwit maybe something like Oedipus answering the ridle from the sphinx.

Yeah. The single color for each pack is listed in the OP. Come on, people.
That does make me wonder what the Mythic available in the seeded pack will be, without any monocolored Gods in the set.
R Citizen Cane (Feldon of the Third Path)
Theros prerelease packs had multicolor in them.
