The game needs the insertion of more copies of staples in the market.
Tarmogoyf was reprinted in modern masters and its price did not change much because of there is a very high demand on this card. So the game popularity stops to increase once people cannot have the card and new players cannot be added to the game.
Another interesting question is that there is no reason for having the reserved list anymore (but vintage). The legacy dual land base is on the reserved list. So it affects commander badly. And some simple and basic cards are too overpriced for legacy and commander because of that are not printed anymore and more people want to play the game.
New boosters looks like a good idea, where staples can be reprinted desconsidering the reserved list. The majority of card's buyers are players. So it will came a time that they will have to ban the reserve list (but vintage).
And a new extended set of reprints would be great with a greater pool of cards and a new rarity for very rare and expensive cards.
Instead of WotC selling cards for people, they obligate people to invest too much in older and rare cards that are vanishing from the market.
