#1 - What's the dumbest idea you ever had?
#2 - 15/15 for 15?
#1 - Make it dumber
#2 - Give it protection from removal and counter?
#1 - DUMBER!
#2 - Add Timewalk?
#1 - DAMN IT MAN, I SAID DUMB!! DUMB !!!
#2 - It destroys everything when it attacks.... And wait, I have a friend who plays mill decks... I want to beat him too.
#1 - Excellent! Recess is over, go back and learn sex-ed with the other 6th graders.
Hmm, I probably would have designed it to be 1 mana more and have people gain 2 life each. That or I dunno...gain one life plus get a 0/1 goat :p. Anyway yeah, pretty disappointing.
This card is acceptable, to me, but I would much rather use righteous cause over it, since that card works only for its controller and triggers from any attacking creature. Perhaps if this card had cost 1 less, or granted 2 life, it would be better, but I am not impressed with it, as it currently is.

And the white curse gets the worst ability out of the 5 colors, which is not really surprising anyway.
How is that "not surprising," to you? I am both surprised and displeased by this, since white is my favorite color in this game, and I was hoping that its curse would be more powerful than this one.
And how does its name make any sense? Is not the concept of "forsaken" a black one?

I think "curses should be weak and boring" is the main design logic at play here. Everything else - flavor includes - comes second. The flavor text does explain it, though. The cursed player is forsaken by the goodly powers of W and thus Serra - or whoever - rewards attacking this player. It's a meager reward, but what can you do? Play better cards?
This card makes no sense from a defensive standpoint. I'd attack the person who cast it if only to end the table's collective embarrassment for him or her.
I knew Wizards was going to do this. With destruction, flicker, and exile effects being too powerful and token generation and +1/+1 counters already taken, of course white got lifegain. They could have at least tried to make it playable though.
Suddenly the perverse vision of making a five-color deck basing around playing curses only on myself springs to mind. Perhaps that's their best use. Hey, this one so played combos with Punishing Fire.
The White one is the Best Curse, easily, hands down.
The reason it's the best is because:
1. You don't have to cast it. It's probably not in your deck. But it's good for you.
Somebody will put the White Curse in their deck, because they are a Flying Hippo or a Minotaur Monk. This is EDH, this is Multiplayer. This is not Standard. You can bank on this happening and not be disappointed.
2. It gives 1/1's Lifelink. Life gain is bad in small, static values. Continual incremental Life has always been between Just Fine and Great.
3. Politics-Wise, it's a lot cleverer than Curse of Predation. It's 'bad enough to be good'
Green is a very clear political Ultimatum: it says that at the very least, you want Large Creatures on the board, and that at the most, you probably want the person you cursed Dead. It is such a Flare Gun. It tells opponents to "attack THATAWAY"-- but it is also rather Spiked, it is so powerful that it's not unlikely to make the cut in decks known for Politics, Power, and Green.....hmmmm Edric, Spymaster of Trest anyone?
4. I'm saying that while Curse of Predation MIGHT not be strong enough to totally backfire on you (the way Edric certainly was), at the same time Curse of the Forsaken is *definitely* not worth a removal spell except an Enchantment-Wrath, something Curse of Predation cannot say for itself. I'd be happy to Disenchant Green Curse because either it's controlled by me and someone other than me is getting large creatures, or it's enchanting me and everyone is going to kill me, or I happened to be one of the players reaping the benefits of it, and I see an opportunity to gain an advantage as my fellows fight over who gets to kill some poor sap by cutting off their counters.
I have few motivations to use a whole card to stop players from gaining life, especially slowly. That means I'm not going to get rid of this with a card, and getting rid of enchantments with half a card or something other than cards is hard to do.
5. I will say that, after all, Green Curse of Predation IS #2, and right in your first few games it will be #1, but I sense more lasting, ''Play Innocent'', Staying Around Power in Curse of the Forsaken, and it Is NOT useless. All you have to do is ensure, either before you build your deck or during it, that one of the decks involved in Your Upcoming Game has White Curse in it, and then build your deck accordingly to gain from that.
Following through on just how to build that deck won't be the easiest thing because there will be a lot of things outside your control, but luckily ''just play tokens, pick Zombies, Elves, Goblins, or whatever you want", is a viable strategy W/O This Curse, and your deck won't need this card to even exist to do fine, but if it's in your deck, or you've manipulated a friend to run it and play it (maybe you are being an Evil Politician using your friend the Good Politician/Group Hug Player), then you will be rewarded for your trouble.
6. It might not see much play in the winning players' decklists. But it will see common play at tables and in groups, definitely. EDH is too social of a game for this not to happen. It is well designed to offer fun to those who are willing to use up a slot for it when doing so might only be more to the group's advantage than the individual who uses it.
I am probably every color-combination it is possible to be, though it's really hard to figure out what it would mean to be 4-colored....it doesn't seem logical to be 4-colored without being 5-colored.

So this is the only one that triggers for each attacking creature, odd.Forgot the wording of the green one.MTGS egos at their finest.
Thoughts on proxies:
The green one does too (and is waaaaaaaaaay better than this one lol).
Also, this one is okay. I would play it in something with archangel of thune and what not.

There's probably a cheaper way to cheat in Enchantments than her. Bound to be - not necessarily get them on the field, but at least into your hand.
