Another artifact-centric Esper commander. Whoop-de-doo. But, fortunately, she's much less degenerate/threatening than Sharuum, so she makes a good alternative for someone who wants to build that deck without aiming for those combo wins.
I never get how to abuse or use cards like this. The whole turning noncreature artifacts into creatures doesn't really appeal to me. What type of combos does a card like this bring to the table? The second ability is cool, if you are really into artifact creatures.
Surveyor's Scope: WOW. So good against any deck with Green or decks playing Land destruction. Man I wish that wasn't a rare so it would have a chance of being in multiple decks. I definitely want a few of those.
Oh man, Wizards. And here I was so proud of you for making an Esper-colored general that wasn't randomly an artifact or that cared about artifacts. You were so close. Oh well.
That blue spirit is lolgasmically bad. I hope it's not part of a cycle.
Now THIS is the kind of design I wanted out of this set. A commander that is unique AND interesting! Surveyor's Scope is pretty awesome too! I do love me some colorless ramp/fixing.

I once met a man from Seattle
When posting he never did prattle
He was quite a nice bloke
Always quick with a joke
With Magic Cards, he always did battle.
So playing Karn himself as a Commander is even more of a "challenge" mode, eh? Interesting... though she is quite the card. I'm going to enjoy making a deck for her.

Pretty cool
The art is very reminiscent of the updated Hanna, Ship's Navigator art
EDIT: Terese Neilsen art, makes sense!
Now I can play an espercentric robot deck without feeling like an ass or using Sharuum.

The Esper Legend....is odd.

Diviner Spirit is... interesting. I don't ever see myself playing it, though.
Surveyor's Scope is great! Powerful ramp that only works when you're behind. This sort of catch-up effect is great for multiplayer.

I can imagine running the lair lands from Planeshift and popping the scope.

I had to read it a few times to make sure it was truly that useless.
