The red and blue curses are piss-weak to say the least. Which is fine, really, I don't care. But this one is huuuugely better than either of them. Sticking this early against someone makes it really hard to defend against outside of removing it, and it also means they'll be attacked by everything instead of a 1/1 unblockable to trigger the loot.
I'm ok with green getting good cards, but when it gets a potentially competitive playable in the same slot where other colors are getting LAUGHABLY bad cards, I'm kind of pissed off.
As far as its power comparative to the others in the cycle spoiled so far goes, it is of course, a further sign of Magic: The Greening
As someone who started playing when people considered Magic to have four colors - white, blue, black, and red - I find this trend amusing. Irritating, but also amusing.
This so far is the best of the cycle, but I still doubt it will see play. Maybe if it was released in a standard-legal set.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
This could potentially turn someone into a face-smashing magnet. Who doesn't like extra counters? In a vacuum, eons ahead of the red curse and much better than the blue one. French Edric could abuse this fantastically.
Wait, seriously guys? You think this is *better* than the blue one, which makes getting through easy, untaps things, and does good work?
I only see this as better in multiplayer, where giving your opponents twiddle could backfire badly against players that aren't cursed (you.) Pretty sure the blue one is better, even in edric. Put this in animar? Not feeling it.
EDIT:
Wah, didn't see that the blue one wasn't twiddle per an attacker.

WELL THEN.
Pretty much.
Blue one might have been OP if it were per attacker, to be fair, but they should have followed the same templating for this one. As is, it's ludicrously overpowered compared to the rest of the cycle.
Seems decent. Costs 1 more but doesn't require the creature to make contact as with Curse of Stalked Prey.
Getting the counter before damage is resolved is huge.
Attacking with any persist guy which already has a counter will reset it (so if it is blocked it will come back again). Which is not the case with Curse of Stalked Prey.
Also, you can do all kinds of counter shenanigans during combat (extra damage with Marath etc)
This will be in the Marath deck for sure. Don't think it will be in the other decks.
It's uncommon, so it will be in three decks (in each green deck). Only the rares are in a single deck, while commons will be in every deck, if this follows the same rules as Commander 2011.
(Only common in Commander 2011 was the Command Tower)
Obviously all these curses are intended for political deck, and they're doing it in the right way. This is the kind of cards we need for multiplayers, not all of us just chase the combo or try to achieve super-fast kill. I like the cycle, and this one and the blue one are pretty nice, let's se the monochromatic ones
They wanted to do some new Curses, and this time do them properly! The last Curses mostly sucked, and weren't played. So what do they do? They just re-make Curse of Stalked Prey. Seriously, aren't there any OTHER ideas of what a Curse could be like?
As for the power level, looks pretty good. But the design stinks.

If a mana cost change, a colour change, and a significant functional difference in what it does constitute a 're-make', then I guess nearly every card is a 're-make' of something.
The other Curses have infringed the design space of other cards too, but this one is simple and elegant. I agree, it's very strong power-wise. As uncommon, copies shouldn't be so hard to come by since it's in three of the decks.
I think the curses look super cute. I definitely enjoyed playing the first commander decks as-is when they first came out, and I'm going to do the same here. If the whole table is playing with one of the new decks, and there are three curses in each, I can imagine some really fun moments with everyone constantly cursing everyone else.

In multiplayer Edric this basically says: "Kill that guy and I make your creatures bigger AND let you draw cards for doing it."

It'll make a few creatures slightly bigger for a little bit but in the end it won't matter

Win.
This card is super good with sek'kuar.
Turn 5 obliterate with a bunch of mana elves + sekkuar on the field and this in play? GG sirs.
