I compared this to the NPH godbook. This has been saved with a very low quality to try to obscure its source, but this is definitely a screenshot from a godbook PDF.

Looks legit to me.
Your gonna need to give more of a source than that. Also, this isn't very red.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong. Not immediately assuming it's fake. Just mulling over the possibilities.
i think this particular version is fake (based on my belief that the oracle wouldnt just give us the exact flavor text of a card, and would be more creative than that)
however i think there might be a card very much like this one as tk hinted at a card similar to fact or fiction in
Looks like it could be legit but I've got the sneaking suspicion it isn't, though I can't prove why. I can see how it'd be red at least, making things more randomish with leaving the choice up to the opponent, but I don't see why it'd be at rare.
Let's wait for a TK-421 confirmation. She made a prediction about that card earlier. This may just be a fake card piggybacking on that information, or it's the real deal.
Oh look, a bad Fact or Fiction that got bumped up in rarity and given a second color. Seems too awful to be fake and is just the type of thing that WotC would put out now a days.
Well if Fact of Fiction was to be printed today, I don't see how it wouldn't be rare. And that's basing off cards like Chained to the Rocks as well as the scry lands (also Domestication in M14), which should have been @ uncommon level.
Just sharing what I know and would like to hear confirmation as well =)

Oh quit complaining. Fact or Fiction deserved to be rare, and as it was it was ovepowered. This is good enough.
The right way to split this would probably be 2 -- 3. And your opponent to choose the lesser evil. Still skill intensive (not as much as the original), something that most magic cards lack nowadays.
Good thing this is in 2 colors, if not then this would be in many standard decks in days to come. But since this is in standard, this would have many applications in either UR decks when Theros comes out. Getting 3 or possibly 4 cards (if you get to bluff an opponent into it) is big for only 4 mana and at instant speed and also within standard.
I think the choosing part to discard is the red part, like many other red cards which gives opponents to choose. The blue part is obviously the Fact or Fiction part.
#1 - What's the dumbest idea you ever had?
#2 - 15/15 for 15?
#1 - Make it dumber
#2 - Give it protection from removal and counter?
#1 - DUMBER!
#2 - Add Timewalk?
#1 - DAMN IT MAN, I SAID DUMB!! DUMB !!!
#2 - It destroys everything when it attacks.... And wait, I have a friend who plays mill decks... I want to beat him too.
#1 - Excellent! Recess is over, go back and learn sex-ed with the other 6th graders.
I think another Oracle post turned out to be straight-up flavor text so this could be as well, plus the hint we got earlier. The strangest part to me is the weird name, Steam Augury sounds a bit odd, but I don't think that's enough to call it fake; based on the supporting information (and the seemingly unseen art) it seems like there's a good chance it's legit.
Yeah, steam part is understandable because original oracle of Delphi used volcanic fumes and augury part as prediction based on owls is self-explanatory, but together? Ancient greek grill?
Also the first set of block isn't even released and I'm already tired of Keranos more than of Jace

Who said I was complaining, I was just saying that this is mediocre and I would never use it. As for Fact or Fiction being overpowered, I believe we have very different definitions as to what overpowered actually means. I think there is a major difference between a solid instant/sorcery and an overpowered one. It's not like we are talking about Ancestral Recall here. I guess it's in the "blue and draws cards at instant speed category" that instantly makes it considered too good. You know, because blue is just overpowered in general.
As to it having to be rare. We have Fact or Fiction at an uncommon slot in a cube we have. I mean it's a good pick, but overall it is just a solid draw spell that doesn't actually break anything in limited.
from reverse image search from google, the art from the card doesn't appear anywhere else on the web. (that google can find at least) So someone either really put a lot of time into this fake by making the art as well, or it's real.
I like it. Seems appropriate when trying to perform divination with scalding steam. After all, Oracles often did get high in order to perform their communion with the gods.
"Oh no I don't have control". Which is kinda a poor excuse anyway. I have seen Fact or Fiction used so many times in EDH its like "Choose one pile or the other, I will still win anyway and gave you an illusion of choice". In which case, you just make two piles and have a backup plan to recover whatever the other pile didn't have.

Ancestral Recall is beyond broken. It is in its own special category with a bunch of alpha and urza block cards. It might not be broken in limited, but a Fact or Fiction reprint would push American control over the top in Modern.
Don't get why people complains about its rarity, seems perfectly legit. However, i think is a fake, but i really hope that is real. Good card for control.

Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
however i think there might be a card very much like this one as tk hinted at a card similar to fact or fiction in
EDIT: Well, it's not exactly like that, but suspiciously close.
Reread that card. You get a singular card. Also, dumping them in the GY is kinda an important part of FoF.
