While it's a shame this card wasn't a merfolk. A 2u casting cost for an indestructable scry 1, that can give people unblockable is nothing to scoff at. I think this will still make it's way into standard and modern decklists.
i've built a Scry deck around the Flamespeaker Adept, and she's just wonderful to have in it. and i also have her in my casual Bruna deck, and she's still wonderful. she's not un-wanted in any blue deck.
The second she goes devotional though, she's toast!
I don't see how her gaining creature makes her suddenly toast. Last I checked shes still Indestructable. Unless you think her being a creature means more ability to be targeted by Exile spells...
psst, thats why you run counters. Its Blue after all.
Scrying 1 every turn is Ok. I don't think it's actually worth a card in your 60 though. Maybe side it in for the control match up to put you "ahead". But I guess at that point you'd rather drop Ashiok if you're in the right colors.
Going up from $16? lol No, enjoy losing value.

Whenever someone claims to hate blue I automatically assume they're a bad player.
What are the possibilities that Zurr might like this? Its CMC is three after all. Zurr tutors this up.

He is talking about Modern, it seems. Her becoming a creature means she can be removed by Path to Exile and any sac effects - assuming you somehow made her a creature without having other creatures available to sacrifice.
Selesyna Charm exile Creature with power 5 or greater... POOF
I guess the hope that you would use the powers of Necromancy I gave you to better this world was only that. A hope.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Thassa is a TERRIBLE card if you plan to never make her hit devotion.
Enjoy wasting a card in your deck for a 3 mana enchantment that lets you scry 1 while I'll play Underworld Connections instead.
Scry 1 is not even particularly good. Scry 1 lets you choose between known and complete unknown. A lot of times it is a gamble.
It is not like Scry 2 where you can often choose between 2 known scenarios.
I disagree about Scry 1. Scry 1 gives another chance every turn to not top deck a land. It's not amazing, but it's definitely at least good.
I see this card as a very decent piece of a Zur the Enchanter commander deck. Unblockable means you don't need to tutor up Steel of the Godhead, you can grab standstill or something better.
Indestructible enchantments are also quite hard to deal with.
Edit: I agree about devotion. I would prefer to keep her as a non-creature, but that won't be hard to do in a Zur commander deck.

I think that's the only deck that can use every aspect of it. It's a near-permanent source of free attacks, and can Scry away cards you don't want to be searched later. It can sometimes become a creature, which is nice.
In everything but Commander, Thassa kind of sucks. She doesn't do enough for control to run it; they could draw two cards for 20 dollars less, or counter something for just as cheap.
In aggro, she does something. Allowing attacks in for free does a lot of work.

"If you don't wear your seatbelt, the police will shoot you in the head."
- To my youngest sister when she was 6.
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
You would prefer to keep her non-creature? Then I suggest don't even play her.
And Scry 1 like I said, you might move away a land but often you have to decide on am mediocre card and it is pure gamble if you get something better or worse by moving it to the bottom. It might just be that you move away that Manaleak for a useless land or sth.
I keep her a non creature so she's avoids SOP, path, unmake, etc. She's not there to swing for 5, she's there to make Zur unblockable.
Scry 1 I'd just use to avoid top decking lands. That's it. I'd keep almost anything that wasn't a land. It's not great, but it's good.
