Nemesis of Mortals is still missing rules text. I can read something along the lines "As long as CARDNAME is not monstrous, X". Add some Pharika Mender, Nighthowler and RTR golgari, and you are good to go.
I'm don't consider myself to be very hard to please, but I can definitely understand the disappointment some people feel with this set.
Most of the rares in this set make RTR block's rares/mythics that never saw play in the previous format seem playable (stuff like Rakdos, Lazav... most things other than Emmara, really.) I guess it will be nice to see stuff that never got a chance in INN-RTR standard get time to shine.
Well, at least that "wait for the full spoiler"-argument in the enchantment-theme-thread is gone now
Seriously. By my count, the only non-creature non-aura enchantments in this entire set were the 5 enchantment artifacts. Also, by my count, 4 total cards that care whether other cards are enchantments or not (not counting removal/hate). Considering Innistrad was a successful flavor-based block that completely supported 2 mechanical themes (tribal/graveyard), this is a real let down.
On the other hand, Urza's block is celebrating at finally having a friend in the category of "blocks that were supposed to have an enchantment theme, but barely anyone noticed."

Given RTR's high quality of removal, it makes sense to make a set like this to partner with it.
The "5/5 Snake for GG" seems kind of amazing, until you remember that Ghoultree is a thing and doesn't see any play (though I played it in a terrible UG self-mill deck and play one in my Jarad EDH).
Really though, there are a ton of cards that are seriously overcosted and way too much vanilla crap. @_@ I'm really sad that once again, a lot of my favorite art was used on limited chaff instead of on some really awesome card.
I thought i'd have to give up my boros deck wins post rotation.. but honestly i'm more excited than ever! My favorite card spoiled to add to the deck is probably:
Akroan Hoplite RW
Creature — Human Soldier
Whenever Akroan Hoplite attacks, it gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of attacking creatures.

That guy with any enchantments (messenger's speed, mad cap skills) or extra pumps is going to be nuts!
With Legion Loyalist, Ash Zealot, this guy Reckoner, boros charm, the new/reprint burn spells, Anax and Cymede, Titan's strength, Minotaur Skullcleaver, etc... my biggest issue will be cutting a deck down to 60 cards :(... lol that is rarely the case as you usually have very few amazing cards to choose from but this time i see it being very difficult to get the appropriate flow and curve just right to <rape>-face! I'm super happy though!

Which ones?

Wow, chronicler of heroes will probably be a playable card in standard. Makes me want to play a number of evolve creatures.
Green gets even more and better mana fixing with voyaging saytr. Is it playable in legacy?
Dragon Mantle seems sorta playable. It's ability isn't worth a card, but the fact that you get to draw another card makes it borderline playable. In limited it will probably be amazing.
Plenty of good cards available for standard. Small percentage of the set designed for Standard, as per usual. The rest of it is for Limited and other formats.
And the cycle continues...like a record baby, round round round round.
I like the cantrip enchantments, especially the blue one.

Is it just me or does it seem like wizards just took a bunch of old cards and added a colorless and a scry 1. This is a somewhat boring addition to the set IMO.

Thanks to SushiOtter at Hakai Studios for the great banner.
Triton Tactics, returned phlanax, aqueos form, stymied hopes, boone of erebos maybe fate foretold mogis marauder, pharika's cure(interesting twist on life drain giving black direct damage to creatures) scourge mark
gave me hope for UB tempo but then coordinated strike clearly pointed out that at the very least the deck will be part red.

This limited format seems like it's gonna be... Interesting.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

Current post- Grand Prix KC Modern Postmortem (7/7/13)
The snake is a slightly more expensive Ghoultree, in a format with more exile removal and fewer graveyard enablers.

Laggona-Band Elder, Commune with the Gods, Pharika's Mender, and I forget the fourth. Maybe it was just 3.
Aw, beat me to it. I kept looking for this bonkers snake everyone was talking about and thought I missed it.
Why bother even having constructed then? Let alone eternal formats like Modern!
This is baloney at this point. Janky jank is janky so yay limited! Ugh. I guess I'll save a lot of money in the long run.

So in this mono colored block we have this mana fixing:
Common - 2 Artifacts, 1 Land, 1 Creature
Uncommon - 1 Artifact
Rare - 1 Creature
In the average 8 person draft that's 11.88 common, 0.9 uncommon, and .45 rare fixers for 13.23 mana fixing cards per draft.
Return to Ravnica, the multicolor set had
Common - 6 Land, 1 Creature
Uncommon - 5 Artifact
Rare - 5 Land, 1 Artifact
For an average of 16.63 common, 4.5 uncommon, and 2.72 rare mana fixers for 23.85 mana fixing cards per draft.
It seems high for mono color, but it's considerably fewer than what we had in a multicolored block.
Green gets even more and better mana fixing with voyaging saytr. Is it playable in legacy?

Thoughts on proxies:
Nah, Innistrad was a lot better and was also a top-down set.
