Uh, again read what I wrote, they do not have proper flavour. Its like showing a helmet of master chief and expecting it to have the same significance as two people fighting over a religious movement in space on a giant artifact. Yes, some of the cards names reference mythological events but they do not portray them well.
Curse of Swine is not a good portrayal as they were not 'killed' they were 'transformed' into swine. Big difference.
The Hundred armed giant doesn't even look like one but looks more like a hindu god.
Chained to the rocks is not a good reference to Prometheus as a) He was later set free and b) Wasn't in exile just held in submission. Prometheus could still be contacted if one needed advice, he just couldn't leave his fetishes. In reality chained to rocks should be more like pacifism then anything else.
Lost in the Labyrinth is a horrible reference as the greeks weren't the only ones to build mazes. If you have ever been to Crete you would realise that a) the labyrinth isn't what ever expected it to be and b) has more then one meaning.
The ordeals were not the 12 labors of Heracles, because the Gods didn't assign them to him but a human king Eurystheus. Also notice how 4 of the 5 ordeals show the slaying/hunting of monsters. While only 4 of the 12 required slaying, the rest required the acquisition of various things.
The only reason you feel that it does portray Greek heritage is because you want it to but if you sit down and read through everything you find that Theros and Ancient Greece are nothing alike. It's like saying Kamigawa and Feudal Japanese myths are similar. The gods should be more feared then respected. The greatest gods was Hades not Zeus as Hades was the one all living things answered to in the end. Ancient greece had a strong history in violence between humans, rape, thievery and philosophy. Heracles himself wasn't a very good hero, he used women like napkins and was quite vicious to anyone who angered him. This set seems more roman then greek.

I think you skipped over the flavor texts entirely buddy.
From Lash of the Whip:
"No matter who their fickle hearts worship, all mortals belong to one god in the end."
—Iadorna, death priest of Erebos
Why would magic for the first time Not want to put their own spin on a themed set?
And as everyone else has been saying this is only the first set in the block, patience.
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.
EDH decks
Marath, Will of the Wild
Sygg, River Cutthroat
Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer
Marchesa, the Black Rose
Nylea's Presence looks interesting to me in limited, mostly because you can cast it on your opponent's land and then enjoy landwalk. Oh wait, no landwalk in this set?
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
On flavor and mechanics: If you don't think titan of eternal fire and rescue from the underworld are the dopest things ever, then you can just get outta my face.
