So, in my last post I forgot to mention this, but the first thing that came to mind when I saw this card was the hallway scene at the end of the matrix. Totally looks like a riff on that scene Is this our top down neo design? ;-p
And Hidden Strings is the only good Cipher card that you'd want to target you own stuff with.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Depending on how the board is setup, you can use HS to untap a land and then tap AotF to free up more mana for countermagic or w/e.
Shoot, I don't know whether to run this guy in Dimir Aggro using Cipher, or Orzhov with lots of Enchantments (OMG suddenly Orzhov Charm became a hell of a lot more relevant...)
Interesting creature. Because of the sacrifice mechanic it won't be possible to 2-for-1 this creature unless the method of destroying him is on board (i.e. telegraphed).
We'll see what new toys this set brings.
Too bad rancor is rotating because deathtouch + trample is awesome. Maybe in the enchantment block it will see a reprint?

Deathtouch + First Strike is even better.
Ethereal Armor would work extremely well with this card.
Hows about the +2/+0 and first strike instant in red? Suddenly you just made your opponent sacrifice a dude and you are swinging with a 5/2 death touch first strike dude.

The red mage lives by the variance and dies by the variance. May the variance be with you, always.
Ok, now I get it.
There is no enabler for heroic. Heroic itself is enabler for auras.
Usually auras leave you behind on CA, but if you get an edict or some other effect for each aura, then there is no disadvantage to playing auras.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
Yeah, those lovely 2 for 1 trade offs in a format full of removal!
Don't even bother mentioning bestow, that mechanic is so glacially slow that none of them belong in an efficient aggro deck like heroes.dec is going to need.
Actually, the synergy between this and the black rare bestow mortivore guy is pretty beautiful.

It mostly consists of a napalm filled trench around my house and a stack of 1994 pornography in my basement.

As much as I'm against the OTT view that this card is going to solo tournaments, cure cancer and make Susan Boyle attractive I'm not really a fan of the opposing camp who think it slaughters puppies and sired Justin Bieber.

I'm starting to think an old fashioned Royal Assasain is superior. Hmmmm...
In the worst-case scenario this guy mitigates the potential card disadvantage of using auras by eliminating your opponent's stuff on being targeted by an aura. In the BEST case scenario, he does this while swinging in for impressive amounts of damage on a pretty cheap body. Royal assassin's sole purpose was to kill your opponent's tapped creatures and/or deter your opponent from using them via the threat of killing them. This guy can kill stuff and go on the offense at the same time. The creature type and mana cost are the only similarities to be found here.

Flickering Ward is the first bouncy enchantment I thought of.
Crown of Flames or Mark of Fury for red. Or Ghitu Firebreathing if you want flash.
Mourning for black.
Shimmering Wings for blue.
Whip Silk for green.
Not saying any of these bouncy enchantments are all that good but they are cheap repeatable heroic enablers if you really wanna abuse it.

But still .....guy with floating knives and that flavor text.....
If there is one Heroic creature that can see play it is AotF.

Ooh I like that especially in response to removal, 3 for 1! Seems backwards that bounce becomes a heroic enabler.
End of post.

Yes, Hunger of the Howlpack targets Agent of the Fates. AofF triggers and your opponent sacs a creature. HotH resolves with its Morbid side = 3 +1/+1 counters.
Thank you. I like that.
