Wow, this is an uncommon? The flavor and design screams Rare, but heck, I'm not complaining! As pretty as this card would look with that gold expansion symbol, making it easier to open in a booster (as well as saving that Rare slot for another thing) is goodness in my book! Imma definitely gonna find a place for this in my casual Izzimic Science Deck (it's a conglomerate creature which happens to be UR with a very Izzet mechanic - IT'S THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF BOTH GUILDS' SCIENCES!).
I'll be playing this. Also, I have to comment on your signature. You simply cannot own all dragons. Shichifukujin Dragon only exists once.

[I was permabanned and all I got to show for it was .... well, nothing.]
I like this card with izzet charm and steam augery. Is it going to be playable? No idea, the deck might just suck balls, but there is lots of support in young pyromancer and nivix cyclops so it might be ok.
It's funny how many cards feel like straigth out Ravnican Cards.
Spellheart Chimera, Steam Augury, Ashen Rider, Medomai the Ageless , Reaper of the Wilds, Psychic Intrusion better represent their guilds than many Ravnica 2.0 cards did.
Theros = Ravnica 2.5 with greek Flavor & Names?
I'll need to dig around for the source, but I recall that it's an intentional decision, to better emphasize cohesion during the transition (with specific focus on the Standard format). See: Ash Zealot, etc.
I enjoy the abilities. I'm unhappy that nearly 16 years since our last Chimera printing yields four very un-flavorful un-combinable cards.
Strong card in its own rights, but imo developers missed potential.
Un-flavorful? Okay, Coastline Chimera sucks in that regard. But the other three are all artificial, magical creatures with abilities that are tied to magic.
And Spellheart and Prescient Chimera both work well together. I think that's more synergistic cards than most of the other smaller tribes.
By the mere definition of what a Chimera 'should' be has nothing to do with being a magical creature with abilities tied to magic, nor what these cards do.
My gripe is with the fact that, past the artwork of Coastline Chimera, there is no reason to give the creature type to any of these creatures. The (primary) mythological definition of a Chimera stopped at Coastline, the other three look like a jumbled mess. The artwork is nice, but does not feel appropriate for the creature type. Spellheart Chimera would have been pretty awesome if it were a "Goat Bird" creature type, maybe even a rare "Goat God"?
The originals interacted with each other in a method that actually displayed 'chimeric attributes' being transfered from one creature to another - the other definition of a Chimera in reference to genetics.
It is silly that the flavor of a set of nearly 16 year old cards trumps these new ones.
It is true that spellheart and prescient have some functionality together, but both cards work well with just about anything else better.
Edit; I should probably mention I'm a tribal nerd and my opinion is most likely clouded. I run stupid trash like a tribal Surrakar and Eye decks in casual, and have three completely different but completely functional decks based around the original Chimera. Their artwork is what got me into the game so I have a partial hate for anything that diminishes their potential or originality.
But why give chimeras every single type of what they're made from when you can classify them as what they specifically are, which is a chimera?
Not to mention, the old chimeras were artifact creatures that essentially "combined" into a bigger creature; these chimeras of new are the real deal, already fused together creatures to form whatever monstrosity they are.
In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.

Oh, I am well aware. I obviously don't count unobtainables. Not gonna storm the Hobby Japan Head Office anytime soon.
43/111, approximately 39% complete. Over a third done.
(calling it now; there will be a cycle of Legendary dual lands with Basic Land types in Theros block)

not every creature type needs tribal options

Now that you mentioned it, bestow it for 3RU would have been awesome.
