that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
The power creep and anti blue that WotC has been doing lately is just stupid.
No, no it hasn't been. This is how every single set works. Colors that hate each other, hate each other. Some cards are more powerful then previous sets, some are weaker.
Literally every set is like this. I don't know what game youre playing.
Irrelevant. You didn't know what strictly better means, but you saw some cool people use it, so you went with it. Now you want to save face by aggressively turning it into a discussion of whether or not the charm [Dimir Charm] is standard playable, which is an altogether different discussion. Very transparent, zero points for trying.

Agreed. If it was enemy color pairings blue would get some green hate too. However, I can't deny that this is a cool card (though Protean Hydra is much more like the Greek mythical hydras than this).
Doesn't pro blue only count once it resolves and come into play.... So it can still be countered
Guess you didn't read the card it says it can't be countered.
EDIT: Nath'd
This hydra is rediculously over powered.
Just when you think that counter spells will get better wotc just pulls the rug out from under you.
All I have to say is, thank god it doesn't have trample.:(

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
Strictly better than Fact or Fiction? I'm pretty sure most people beg to differ.
I think he's saying it's a better design, and a healthier card for today's Magic. Rather than putting a huge skill/decision-making burden on the player with relatively little information (an opponent), that burden has been shifted to the player with the most information (the caster). This makes the card weaker overall, but opens up a lot more play.

I would have no issue with the power creep they're doing to creatures if they balanced it out by having good spells, however they don't. It's just a creature push fest and I hope that it backfires on them soon and causes sales to plummet.

If it only had Pro-Blue, then that would indeed be correct. The card, however, specifically states "Can't be countered".
And in the category of "reprinting old cards that are no longer relevant strictly better" comes Ivy Elemental, although admittedly, that was already done several times. The card is nice, but I suspect it will only see play if green ramp is a deck. A 2/2 haste for 3 or a 3/3 haste for 4 might not be good enough. I doubt that the "can't be countered" clause is all that relevant because most commonly played counterspells these days don't hit creatures. I suppose it might be nice against the new scry-counter.
G/x ramp is just woah.
Bring it on
Definitely not. With FoF, you were guaranteed the best card out of 5; Augury means you get the 2nd best, if there is one.

He's not saying it's strictly stronger. He's saying it creates more interesting scenarios and is overall more interactive than FoF.

MTG Cube Theory
Right, but there is also a line that says that it can not be countered.
Yeah that's why it specifically says "X can't be countered".
For instance the same thing is seen on Emrakul.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
The card specifically says it can't be countered.

Also that Battlemaster Centaur is tailor made for the Ordeals. Both of these creatures are really nasty if Nylea is out
It has a "can't be countered" clause. So you can throw counters until your blue in the face but he will resolve no matter what.

When it escaped, the experimenters hesitated. It would cause untold havoc, yet they wished to see it in action.
