Kind of annoying that they're immediately undermining the "special-ness" of the Gods by printing a staple removal effect that gets around indestructible, in a color that usually can't get around that.
On the other hand, it's expensive and slow compared to Naturalize, so you have to make a rather deliberate trade-off for versatility at the expense of efficiency. I kind of wonder if anybody will bother.
I hate that they printed this at common in this block. Means that pulling a God in limited won't be much of a blowout at all. I really don't like hosing your big powerful Mythics with a common at all.

Yeah soo whenever someone opens 2+ MR it means instant Win of the tournament...

You need to have some way to deal with the super powerful enchantments, especially the ones that are indestructible.

“A man's at odds to know his mind cause his mind is aught he has to know it with. He can know his heart, but he dont want to. Rightly so. Best not to look in there. It aint the heart of a creature that is bound in the way that God has set for it. You can find meanness in the least of creatures, but when God made man the devil was at his elbow. A creature that can do anything. Make a machine. And a machine to make the machine. And evil that can run itself a thousand years, no need to tend it.”

The central mechanic of the Gods (devotion) requires you to build your deck around them.
I don't think it's too much to ask that, if I've literally devoted my whole deck towards maximizing my mythic bomb, that you can't blow it out with a generic and easily-obtained common that answers that entire class of God cards, plus a hundred other kinds of cards.
It really makes me question the judgment of the development team. Do you want your design team's mechanics to be successful or not? Seems like not.

Great, then why not give us a sorcery-speed Erase instead of this? It would actually be relevant in this block. And it would require the person who picked it to actually weigh some deckbuilding options, rather than just play an overly-broad answer that happens to catch some of the flagship mechanics of the set in its splash damage radius.
To Theros what Shatter was to Mirrodin. Worse than a lot of things, but a nice pickup in draft. Will get even better depending on the playability of the artifacts and how many bestow creatures actually get printed.

I question your judgment of limited formats if you think every card choice is made in regards to making sure the mythics in the set are hard to deal with.

This was bound to happen. I mean... we did get Revoke Existence in Scars. Pretty sure they nerfed the mana cost from this card for Limited. I do question however why this was put in green than white though...
I think we all knew there was an 'exile enchantment' spell coming. Glad it's not in white -- would probably kill the chances of gods seeing widespread play. Being printed in a less-used color gives them a chance. On the other hand, green looks like it will be a big player this fall, either in mono, RG or GW.
At first I wondered what kind of flavour they would have to come up for a god-killing card. I think this one nailed it.

Honestly, I'd assumed it cost more than Revoke Existence because exile isn't pretty abnormal for a green card whereas white pulls that trick all the time.
Exiling isn't worth the extra mana and loss of Instant-speed. Fringe sideboard at best. (How many Indestructible Enchantments or Artifacts are there in Standard, beside the Gods?)

LOL at Green being considered a "less used color" in Standard (or any non-Eternal format, for that matter).

Obviously, it's not just Gods that are at question, here, and that's the whole point. They could print:
God-B-GoneG
Instant [C]
Exile target God.
and it really wouldn't undermine the set mechanics at all.
But you print this card, which is just an extremely broad meta-answer to everything the set is trying to accomplish, and now players don't even have to think about how to deal with your artifact or enchantment threats. They are just dealt with.

I'm sorry, is this somehow different from how artifact and enchantment removal worked previously?

I guess it COULD see play standard.. It's pretty bad though

Wizards, you have no reason to be so afraid of enchantments when you don't print a single card to support them...

Some cards don't need to be "supported."

It seems the Gods are hellbent on keeping Theros Bronze age for a while... wonder if it's just shallow jealousy or something far more deeper.

Because 3 mana is a lot in Limited? LOL wut?
I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.

What is the specific need for green to have exile effects at common in this set?
Let me ask it a different way. How would you feel if the following card had been printed in Scars of Mirrodin?
Instant [C]
Counter target spell. You lose all poison counters.
