Just a quick Q: Since the Gods are Enchantments as well as Creatures when you cast them, can you counter them using both Negate or Essence Scatter?
Only Essence Scatter. They're always both an Enchantment and a Creature outside of the battlefield, so they'll never be a noncreature spell on the stack.
Would this be good in splinter twin as a 1 or 2 of as an alternate win so you could win on there turn or if something is stopping you from attacking?
I could see it. But things like Torpor Orb and Blind Obedience are the typical go to anti-Twin cards, are they not? At which point this card doesn't help. If it would just be a "win more" card at that point is up in the air, but I like your line of thinking for sure.

Can you say young pyromancer just found a best bud? Too bad the pyromancer never sticks around long enough to be useful. But lets say you have a pyromancer...a guttersnipe and this god on the field(we can dream right?). You cast a shock killing off an opponent's whatever...you get a 1/1 you can pump later and deal 4 damage to an opponent...all for one mana. I think I still like Thassa best so far...but Purphoros is downright dangerous...much better than the green and white gods. And if that wasnt bad enough....that m14 spell that puts two 1/1s into play then has a 50/50 chance of coming back to your hand on a coin flip is now even better and ups that particular damage potential to 6 while making the pyromancer token situation even worse.
The gods should be pointless with nothing on the board flavor-wise. They are only meaningful/powerful with followers. They give their followers strength/abilities and can only manifest with enough followers showing their devotion.
You are 100% right though from a pure play-power standpoint; it would be nice if they could do something alone on the board.
The fact you get 2 damage per creature and its so hard to kill is what makes it amazing. Scratch what i said, it has to be the best.
I'd pay that cost just for the enchantmnent
Im predicting Boros or Izzet token decks once rotation happens

Gets around Ensnaring Bridge and Illness in the Ranks. But I think a lot of people would just rather ply Torpor Orb, which this gets shut of by, too.
I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT! Sorry for all caps, he has my Timmy/Spike/Johnny senses tingling.

I would have to say it's essence scatter only once it's in play do you determine if it's a creature
I kinda see why Heliod is their boss, everyone else is just useless on their own.
I wouldn't say scry 1 is useless,
but it makes sense really Gods are dependent on having worshippers
You are 100% right though from a pure play-power standpoint; it would be nice if they could do something alone on the board.
Also, the white god can make its own creatures.
