Well I guess it is decent in the long run if you can keep up the heroic ability up. Even though Mirran Crusader has double protection and Silverblade Paladin makes a buddy of yours deadly... this thing seems rather boring.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
In T2 I guess that's good and all. Limited though...
Since the only way I might actually touch this set is through limited I really hope Heroic isn't a wasted mechanic.
I honestly wish they reprinted cards like Fist of Ironwood and Galvanic Arc in the RTR block. I mean we got Knightly Valor, but come on, two enchantment themed blocks in a row, can't even make a single fun enchantment like the ones in old Ravnica. I guess something on par with these will be printed somewhere in the 100+ cards left they haven't shown us yet.
Also, I believe I saw an article about the new legend rule stating that one of the reason why they didn't want to make effects like Faith's Fetters was due to the old Planeswalker rule. With the old rule, if you fettered a PW, the controller needed to get rid of the enchantment, let the PW die, or cast TWO more copies to actually get out another one. Now with the new rules, I can sort of see them printing something similar to Fetters and that will be a whole cycle of aura with etb effects like they did in old Ravnica.
I know it's been said before, but it's impossible to assess these heroic cards without knowing what support they're going to get. If they don't get anything good other than a few overcosted bestow cards, then the whole thing is dead in the water. But just a few nice things, even something as simple as Distortion Strike could help them along immensely.
I can't believe anyone is excited about this card. It is absolutely unplayable. I wouldn't even play her in LIMITED. Easily the worst walker printed since the green elf one. Absolutely terrible.
Ugh, this guy is pretty obscene with literally any decent pump spell or aura (Rancor being especially gross, thankfully it's rotating). I look forward to being blown out in standard by dumb hands involving this guy and bad limited pump spells on turn 3. Hooray!
Yuck, these heroic cards will make sense if they redo buyback in the next few sets, as is, I feel like I need a hexproof enchantment/bestow card to not get 2 for 1'd.
I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
So how does this guy work with Common Bond? Does he get 4 +1/+1 counters or am I just wrong?
You are correct, he gets 4 counters. Pretty strong set up!

Sorry for off topic for the card usage (I think it's cool enough for me)
can anybody navigate for me that what hero in real Greek-myth
this card could be refer to? I'm quite amuse by his favor text though
No, he does not get four counters from Common Bond. Heroic triggers when you play a spell that targets him. It doesn't matter how many times that spell targets him, it's still only once per spell. However, if you had two of these out, you could trigger them both with one Common Bond, and they'd each get two counters.

Karma doesn't exist. You can't depend on it. If you count on it for justice or catharsis, you will find that you have placed your emotions on very unstable ground; and you will either repeat your disappointment in society over and over, or you will engage in a persistent delusion to protect yourself from that feeling.

Best case scenario, you would have a Phalanx Leader on the board as well.

No he gets 3.
Heroic triggers when you cast the spell - how many times said spell targets the creature is irrelevant. So he gets 1 from his ability, and then 2 more from common bond, not 4.
Also I just realized how utterly bonkers the Nylea's ordeal is with this guy (or Experiment One). You can be super aggressive AND fetch lands simultaneously now... that's really, really scary. Hello aggro decks dropping Archangel of Thune on T3 without using mana dorks!

There's like a million different ways to get a turn 3 kill with known cards. Think of him as a 3 mana Glistener Elf

That could actually be ok
Like, think about it. You will can up to three +1/+1 a turn with this card.
