Guys, all the heroic guys that get +1/+1 counters interact really well with the ordeals. Drop one on him and attack, and he's already a 4/4 double-striker that's just one more attack or heroic activation away from getting the ordeal bonus. I like!
A bit of a boring creature but it's still pretty strong
What is it with all these people asking about heroic enabler? We have bestow in Theros for limited which grants the buff and the counters from heroic (plenty strong) and there are plenty of spells that target in RtR and M14

Dat flavour text is wicked though
But the bestow creatures are all so horribly overcosted that they won't see play anywhere but in limited.
As everyone else is saying, there are definitely some cool heroic cards, but the only card we can use for multiple heroic activations (without hurting our own creatures) is Martial Glory. While Martial Glory is a good heroic enabler, we need a few more, and we definitely need different colored ones. There are a lot of cool heroic cards (Agent of the Fates, Triton Fortune Hunter, Phalanx Leader, Akroan Crusader, and probably more to come) that I'd like to make a budget deck with, but that will only be possible with spells which have multiple targeted buffing, or something of that nature.
With the card itself, I think it's okay. Not as good as Silverblade Paladin, but it may see some play in human decks. There are other better heroic triggers to use your spells on.
But it's... I mean.... Ow man........ it really does.
(My hope is that the second set won't have any permanents - 200+ targeted Instants and Sorceries to make Heroic work.
It's pretty clear it's a limited only mechanic, in which case it's pretty good.

“A man's at odds to know his mind cause his mind is aught he has to know it with. He can know his heart, but he dont want to. Rightly so. Best not to look in there. It aint the heart of a creature that is bound in the way that God has set for it. You can find meanness in the least of creatures, but when God made man the devil was at his elbow. A creature that can do anything. Make a machine. And a machine to make the machine. And evil that can run itself a thousand years, no need to tend it.”

I'm realizing that a lot of these Heroic creatures synergize amazingly with the Ordeals. Which, of course, makes total sense. This set is a home run in terms of flavour.
selesnya charm is nuts with this card, the thing is that selesnya and bant decks can take advantage of Fabled Hero, by just changing the 4/4 uncounterable elephant dude.
Ordeals are good enablers, turn 3 this + 2 ordeals for a 5/5 double striker that also pops one of the ordeals to do stuff.......... the only problem is the removal aspect... :/
But the bestow creatures are all so horribly overcosted that they won't see play anywhere but in limited.
Boon Satyr is good, but that's the only one.
This guy is the most playable Heroic, a single pump makes him a 3/3+pump Double Striker. Will get to be Heroic in GW with other stuff that you are playing anyways.
Selesnya Charm: 5/5 double strike with Trample. 10 power trample is GOOD. Because it's been seeing play anyways, I expect to see charm on this guy quite often, and it is a really big play
Boon Satyr: more expensive, but 7/5 double strike is game over if they didn't block before you attacked. This might happen some, again, forces them to block the unbuffed guy for fear of you casting this.
Even without the Heroic, a 2/2 double strike for 3cmc is pretty close to playable as is. This will be a staple
We've seen 2 spells that trigger Heroic without killing the creature.
With more than a hundred cards left to go. Are you seriously suggesting there will be NO combat tricks, NO other auras, no other way at all to trigger it in those 100+ cards?
You can't see it but I am rolling my eyes so incredulously.

Well, assuming he doesn't get nailed by removal, this could be horrendously brutal if you can cheat him out on T2 and then slap on an Unflinching Courage.
20-point life swing on T3? Yeah, that's kinda nuts.

I am being hopefully optimistic that there will be a lot of Instorciers to make them work. I hope... right

I like the flavor text, but it feels corny, processed, and non-organic like it isn't a part of the world of Theros.
