nah, we needed more condemn. this is borderline unplayable depending on what the meta will be like. flavor yes, but playability is pretty low because of the mountain clause.

I speak in sarcasm because calling people ******* ******** is not allowed.
I find it baffling that Boros gets a 1 mana Exile Target Creature and everyone is complaining about how bad the card is.
Seriously! And on top of that people are saying things like how Journey to Nowhere is better and how it won't get played in modern because of Abrupt Decay and Tec. Edge. (Edit to clarify: there will be far less enchantment removal played in other formats compared to Theros standard). I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Look, it's narrow; everyone who can read can see that. It's also incredibly powerful in the decks that can support it. If there's a red-white deck that's viable in a format, it will play this card. If not, not.
People on this forum keep writing how strong Boros is, Boros is OP, Boros is pushed, WotC favours Boros ... can someone please point me to a competitive RW decklist? Because I really don't see it.
It doesn't exist yet. The thing is a lot of people are trying to focus on rotation (at least a lot of people I know are). Boros has (and always has had) cheap, efficient creatures, burn and life gain, other cost effective removal, etc. There's no difference now, it's just overshadowed by so many other decks (and rightfully so).

What's "a format"? Does Legacy count? Modern? Modern already has Path to Exile and likes to avoid narrow sorcery-speed removal that gets blown out by Tec Edge or Ghost Quarter all day; both of these are not exactly unpopular. Not to mention Abrupt Decay and friends.
I don't know in what universe this qualifies as "incredibly powerful". The 1 CMC is more than offset by being sorcery speed, ultra-niche and ripe for 2-for-1s.
Boros looks okay after rotation. This card is sweet because you can go like..
Turn 1. Pantheon Guy (2/1 prot multi soul warden dude)
Turn 2. Boros 2 drop (wojek halberdiers, daring skyjek)
Turn 3. Chain to my sacred foundry, play another 2 drop. (or u can leave boros charm up if ur on the draw and hes U/W.
Also this card kills any creature lategame for the boros deck, taking care of some of those monstrous creatures with gigantic behinds like hundred handed one seems pretty important since the new searing spear wont do the job
