Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.
“A man's at odds to know his mind cause his mind is aught he has to know it with. He can know his heart, but he dont want to. Rightly so. Best not to look in there. It aint the heart of a creature that is bound in the way that God has set for it. You can find meanness in the least of creatures, but when God made man the devil was at his elbow. A creature that can do anything. Make a machine. And a machine to make the machine. And evil that can run itself a thousand years, no need to tend it.”

Meh, nothing amazing. 3/3 for 2G is on curve, and that's pretty much all there is to say about it. Overall, this set so far isn't impressing me. The art and flavor is nice, but mechanically the set doesn't appeal to me.
The reason why people keep asking if this was known knowledge is because there was an article recently on wizard's site hyping devotion and how trained armadon might be strictly better in this set. Which is hilarious as they reprint this. It would've been awesome had they given him something like scry 1 like someone suggested earlier and now assume all the old full art cards were textless versions of what the card would be now.
I'm not sure how his statement counts as trolling...
I'm referring back to his hints about Theros. He hinted at there being a future shifted card being reprinted and it started all kinds of crazy speculation.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Dissolve: "OH MAN, wizards is so uncreative.... just putting stupid scry 1 on a Cancel. I hate this, I quit Magic. This game is getting too uncomplex."
3/3 for 3: "Nothing exciting, but its fine for limited."
redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
MaRo did say he was taking magic in a 'new direction', maybe this is it? Where old favourites like Lightning Bolt never see the light of day but cards like Bear Cubs become reprinted at uncommon often.
First of all, Bolt did get reprinted. Second, Ancestral Recall is also an old favorite, but that hardly means that it is a good idea to reprint it.

I misread. You are correct. I was more excited about the first possibility...
Banner ala Lymons
Haha. It's probably an analogue to the Iliad.

Seconded. With Nessian Asp spoiled already, his reappearance was inevitable.

It's a reference to the Hesiod's Theogeny, more likely, given the plot of the set is Gods And Monsters rather than "Lets all siege Troy."
Now, if he say there'll a great future shift card, or a rare future shift card, and hand us this, that's another story.
