They hadn't come right out and said it was in, but between there being a card named Nessian Asp, and the Planeswalker's Guide saying that "coursers" are one of the castes of centaurs on Theros, I think a lot of people figured it out. I know I was assuming it was in.
So much for that guy maybe being GU.
Oh well.
This loses whatever appeal it had without the full art,
but I guess that wouldn't work here, now would it?
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary

Kind of a meh reprint, especially since it couldn't be a full-art vanilla (wish they would make this a staple of vanilla creatures in all sets!), but filler is filler.
On the bright side, maybe I can put him in a standard deck somehow and play my future sight ones. Will at least try. Maybe Prophet of Kruphix can pick up the slack
Well, obviously it's not that but we do get something nice for Limited + nice flavor.
Now you did you do that?
I would have thought that with the Creative brains trust, there would be a full command of Latin. (Iliad, after all, is from Latin.) However, it appears that that is not the case.
Looking at the art, while I think I prefer this one over the FUT one, this is sort of amateur hour or more suitable for cartoons or comics.
I have to say it's amazing how well people take a 3/3 for 3, but die over themselves complaining about how we only get a 3/3 for 3 on another card, with an ability, just because it's rare?
Standard playable. It kills boros reckoner and pretty much all 0 through 3 drops in standard. One of the most efficient creatures right now, and it isnt even color heavy. 10/10 would play
Blatantly overpowered; cards like this at common mean that green is going to get really efficient creatures and will be hard to kill in Limited.
They should put creatures like this at uncommon at least, preferably rare. Watchwolf was uncommon and cost GW - this is even easier to cast and more splashable, so it should be rare.
Seems amazing. It's basically a Centaur healer, which saw plenty of play, but it doesn't die to renounce the guilds and can block Soldier of the Pantheon.
