Seems like we're getting hero cards named the protector, the philosopher, The avenger, the warrior, and the hunter. None of these cards seem to have a mana cost, So I'm guessing these are some type of tokens that the gods will put into play. Image attached

A little different, the Gameday will use them in a similar way to Vanguard. We haven't gotten the Details yet but they should come soon.

Poster's new, but those are old news: they're special cards for the Prerelease (and release, and game day), and not part of the main set. Like Squillis said, they're like Vanguard.

that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
Every card on here has all ready been spoiled...even the hydra cards. This should be archived.

What you are about to read the absolute truth about the deck that once nearly killed WotC's revenue.

In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.
Maybe it's a playmat you get for beating the hydra? MaRo did say you get a physical prize for beating it.
Would be cheaper if it were a paper thing that mapped out what the hydra did and interacted with the special cards somehow, but then there's no reason for that to be rolled like that rather than folded. If it is a playmat, I'd rather get textless cards in the mail...
The game is played on prerelease/gameday and in casual if you buy the box.
What's assumed is that the Hero cards stay out from the beginning until the end of the game (probably in the command zone) and give you the extra activated ability per turn. Apparently you can earn extra ones and use multipes from the events?
The Hydra deck (and other challenge decks in the next sets and maybe later on if they sell/take off) is a deck that plays itself and you and your friends can face it. It's also assumed that it will be like Horde Magic. If so, the deck is its life, and when you deal damage to it you mill it for that much. On a Horde deck's turn you play cards from the top of the deck for free until you play a card that isn't a creature token- this is where the challenge deck will probably be different as it wouldn't have tokens. Maybe you play Hydra head cards until you get to a non-creature spell. It would attack a random player (who all share life and can block together ala 2/3-headed giant). You win when you deck it out and remove any hand it ever got and its field. You lose if it kills you and your friends.
As for the new Elite supertype on the creature, it is assumed that any creature with Elite is a powerful "boss" creature that is split up on multiple cards in a deck because it is so epic. So the deck is the Elite creature itself rather than being a bunch of creatures. It may only be used for Challenge decks, as would Hero cards. None of the Hero or Elite spells would be in Theros.
gheta, they can also just assign a life total to the challenge.
They could. They could also make it so you can't attack anything but the heads directly. You win when the field has no heads and they multiply fast enough so its actually a challenge to remove the field. They most likely have tons that split when they die so even a wrath won't cause you to win the game.

It's the puzzle poster for Quest two: Gift from the Gods
Yes, the hydra deck at Game Day uses them.
EDIT: Nath'd.
The compiled info thread has all the relevant information
