Anyone want to be the one to call Hasbro and see if we can get some info on this? I would if I was not at work, but I am curious if maybe now that the hype has somewhat died down (35 people watching this as opposed to 250 last week), maybe the phone reps would be a little more loose with what they know
Just called them. The rep said they'll update some time this week, but she's unsure on the exact date and time. So, same old answer we've been getting.
I need to go to class soon too. Hopefully I won't miss out like last time
I grabbed a plugin called alertbox for firefox. Everything I found for chrome basically said it was spyware. Anyway, problem with alertbox is it only checks every 2 minutes.
Wait, are they selling more of these? I thought they were all gone long ago?
Due to people who placed more than one order having their orders cancelled, more of these will be available.
Now will that be tonight? tomorrow? sometime this week? no one knows.
Will these even be available online, or will they be sold off some other way? Again, no one knows. All you can do is wait and pray, just like the original allotment.

They are being sold online and on the phone simultaneously.
We do not KNOW that these will be put back on the website. That is the speculation since the item hasn't been completely removed. We also have, unfortunately, no idea when, or in what quantity.
The better question is this
Will we see a FULL restock (I.E. the planeswalkers and the other 5 sold out items) all at once? Or item by item? How many total are being cancelled and restocked? are there ones out there that perhaps can be swapped for one of the other sold out exclusives? Anyone have an answer to that last question?

You should really read the thread before rehashing already answered questions.

Considering that no one has the answers to these questions...and the first couple are just for speculation purposes.

Only hasbro knows, and even the reps are either clueless or don't want to tell us.

How many total are being cancelled and restocked?
This could be slightly answered by people who have had orders cancelled today posting about it as one person did.
Are there ones out there that perhaps can be swapped for one of the other sold out exclusives?
I was mostly directing this to anyone who is keeping up the with star wars forums and such, and would guess that any up for trade have already been done.
MAYBE, you should read before you respond. Just for you I am going back over every single post to see if I missed it.
Edit - Alas, after reading over all 16 pages, and having come in on page 13/14 myself, I see no answer to any of this.
Just got off the phone with a Hasbro representative and this is what I've gathered so everyone can stop asking the same questions over and over:
1. All original orders from the first wave that were multiples and were over the max quantity are being canceled and restocked.
2. All original orders for those that were lucky enough to get the set during the first wave are still being processed and according to the representative, should ship out in the next day or two. Also, those of us that were freaking out because the charge from our bank accounts disappeared and the money returned can rest easy. She stated that they will not charge us until the order ships which is why there is no recorded transaction.
3. Even the Hasbro personnel do not know when the restocked items will go back on the shelves and if it will even be all of them at the same time.
4. The original release on the website occurred around 3:30pm EST on the Wednesday after they had to re-inventory their leftover back stock from SDCC and lasted roughly 6 minutes, so 2 things: 1. Whenever the restocks show up expect them to be gone in a fraction of the time and 2. This probably means the restocks won't go up until Wednesday this week or later.
Hare are some things to note from the Projected Value Forum
1. Some people that have ordered them on ebay and others that bought them first hand from SDCC had slight bending in some of the walkers in the creased areas due to the collapsable display.
2. Prices appear to be plateauing at ~$400 on ebay with a few showing up in the European market for ~$700
3. Projected values for the box set have it reaching $800-$1000 by the end of the year, assuming WOTC does not print anymore
I'm sure there are some things I forgot to mention so I will post more as it comes to me.
Holy hell, $800 to $1000? Why can't they just print more of this and sell it for $65 each. It's not like they'll lose anything. I'm not saying no to make it exclusive, but instead of the initial 3-4000 units, maybe go like 10000 or something. I bet they still would sell out either way.
Really? I know a TON of people who are quite upset at how exclusive it already is.
I guess it's sort of a Catch-22. If they weren't exclusive, many people wouldn't even want them. Sure, they're shiny and black, but if they were printed at the level of a DD Promo most would be turned off.
I think the latest episode of Brainstorm Brewery did a good job of hitting all the angles on this. One of the most cutting points was that the price of these boxes does nothing to stop you from playing the Magic decks you were going to play anyway. You can get all five of these Planeswalkers cheaply by themselves - the $500+ price tag of this box will not affect your tournament experience. If you had to have this ultra-rare card where only 5,000 were made and given out at one Con, then we'd definitely have a problem. I think they brought it up in context with the FTV:20 cards, too. Those box sets are meant for collectors who want to pay a lot of money for exclusive cards - they are not the only source of those cards.
As a player, I want one of these sets - they look awesome! But as a player, I also know that I don't need one to play. I don't think WOTC cares about me being able to afford all the coolest versions of cards. In fact, it adds to the game to have a few really awesome, rare chase card versions of already-existing cards.
How Hasbro handled the sale of these is an entirely different matter - I don't think anyone was pleased by it except the people who walked away with sixteen boxes of this at the event (which happened multiple times).

Just to keep interested parties up to speed, my Order is now showing as fully shipped, I ordered no multiples so have no cancellation info, but they are clearly moving forward
(I'd expect they wouldn't be shipping if they hadn't resolved the order book to their satisfaction)
Good luck to those people keeping an eye out for the re-stocks

I'd venture a guess somewhere between pages 20 and 35.

Supposedly it would monitor changes and alert the user, but I can't seem to get it working.
Anyway, good luck, the cards are cool looking!

Yeah. But you have to refresh the site to know when they are being sold, which is the main issue.

i know a few people that were quite upset at this. Its not really an exclusive if you can buy it on their site.
They're not printing more, they printed a certain amount and are selling the excess on their site.
