Some new cards from Mythic Spoiler, apparently from a Youtube video, in addition to those slivers:
Xathrid Necromancer 2B (Rare)
Creature- Human Wizard
Whenever Xathrid Necromancer or another Human creature you control dies, put a 2/2 black Zombie token into play tapped. "My commands shall echo forever in their empty skulls." 2/2
Fiendslayer Paladin 1WW (Rare)
Creature- Human Knight
First Strike, Lifelink
Fiendslayer Paladin can't be the target of black or red spells your opponents control.
2/2
Banisher Priest 1WW (Uncommon)
Creature- Human Cleric
When Banisher Priest enters the battlefield, exile target creature an opponent controls until Banisher Priest leaves the battlefield. "Oathbreaker, I cast you out!"
2/2
that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
Sad that Banisher priest has different wording from Fiend hunter giving a duration instead of two triggers means you can't say cloudshift it in response to the trigger to exile something forever. Overall nifty cards though. The paladin is a bit weird, although I guess protection from two colors probably would have been a bit much with its other abilities. Still dodges a lot of removal though.
I like the new wording on fiend hunter. I'm surprised it took them so long to come up with a faceless butcher that doesn't break to every friggin combo ever printed.

You say "sad", but that interaction majorly went against the intention of the cards in a negative way.

Interesting, but somehow boring. Necromancer definitely could be awesome in a BW human deck with Unruly Mob, Blood Artist and a sac outlet.
Sadly the cards just don't feel that exciting. Banisher Priest is another Fiend Hunter and Xanthrid Necromancer is a worse Rotlung Reanimator with "Human" replacing "Cleric"
M14 is really, really shameful as far as rares go. Mutavault and Ooze are the only two cards I want for any format. This is getting really bad :/
I'm seeing a lot more here than M13, which was basically Thragtusk or bust. Mutavault + Ooze is two high-power eternal staples (and the rumor of Thoughtseize is still floating around as well), and then we have a lot of interesting stuff, mostly for EDH. Things like:
The dumbing down of the game is getting super excessive.
Change != dumbing down.
I've been playing this game since 1994, have heard infinite quarterly complaints of "WotC is dumbing this game down." Getting rid of ridiculous linked ability loopholes in favor of an intuitive duration effect like this... I'd count that as "smarting up."

I think it's up to whatever someone likes. I like interesting effects that reward smarter play and knowledge of the rules.

And there will be plenty of 'sploitz that will remain in the massive tome that is the M:tG comprehensive rules, for you to enjoy.
Streamlining the Faceless Butcher ability so that it plays like it's supposed to play has been a long time coming, and is completely appropriate, given that that ability is much more commonplace thesedays than it was 10 years ago.

Nice call on Rise, I forgot about that card honestly. I don't look at things for EDH though, because you can play like everything in EDH, so it isn't a fair metric.
With things like Rise, I feel like they know there are some playgroups out there who play EDH but have very few counterspells, and are wondering just what they have to print to get those guys to go, "Oh, I guess.. uh. A counterspell would help out. Should probably start using one. hm..."

Interesting about the Banisher .. the Rules Nerd in me is curious to see how this works. As far as I can tell, the "exile .. until" template is a new thing. Normally, "until" is used to define durations of continuous effects (e.g., Giant Growth), not zone changes. For all we can tell, it might work exactly the way Fiend Hunter works now, it's just less wordy (e.g., "dies").
EDIT: Also, Necromancer in Aristocrats decks?

Using the rules to cheat around intended card functions, while it is a smart play and a good play, is not the intention of the game. Things like this are called exploiting a rule for a reason. Just like bugging an online FPS to an erroneous spot where you can shoot at anyone but can't be shot at, these are not intended ways to play the game. It is not dumbing down the game (There is a purposeful push to simplify rules to lower the barrier of entry, but that is because Wizards wants new people not to be scared by the almost 200 page rules and not because they want to take away you join of pwning newbz by using rules they would have to scour the internet to understand. Sorry if that pushes you out of the game, but the influx of new players more than compensates.)but is making the game more intuitive.

Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.

There are 30 clerics currently in standard. Of those, 24 are humans. So in the standard environment, the necromancer is basically the same as reanimator whether it said human or cleric. Banisher priest I am very happy about. So glad they closed the rules abuse loop hole. And the paladin is awesome.

Except there are way more noncleric humans then nonhuman clerics. This is a great card for BW humans. Won't blow it up or anything, but casual will enjoy having it around for crazy infinite combo decks that need to make bodies.

Protection has been being phased out since like 1995, just like quality hard counters, trample, and aggressive red burn.
That is to say, they're never going to really get rid of it. It has too much cachet. They'll just kick it a bit while it's down.
The dumbing down of the game is getting super excessive.
