I like our new 2RR pw. She is a role player in an aggressive deck. No Koth, but still fine. A good curve topper since 0ing and not having enough mana to cast is pretty bad.
That artifact is a casual possible edh card. Not too great at all.
Silvers are looking pretty solid.
man ive been following the dega midrange stuff and im starting to run this deck and im right with you here too. i was hoping chandra would fill the 4 spot.
I mean it's pretty much 0 - draw a card, which is nice.
Actually it's much worse than "draw a card." How frustrating is it to peel a land if you've already played one that turn? You're pretty much always going to +1 Chandra first (assuming you're curving into four mana), which is really underwhelming. After that even if you're effectively drawing an extra card a turn you don't get to hold onto instant speed burn or counterspells or combat tricks. It's much much weaker than drawing a card, sadly.
I weep for the second Chandra that they said they'd make strong. glad I picked up my Rals..
Your poor souls. I will gladly take all your Chandras off your hands! I am loving her. She does strange things, potentially exciting things! Maybe she can't kill a whole lot outright, but a repeatable "no block" effect is useful and the 0 can do sweet, sweet things.
Edit: Awww Dammit, I read it with "without paying the mana cost." I still like her. In a burn style deck, digging deeper is always nice.

idk now gotta see what else we get
This is why im pissed about her...I dont think she fits into a control shell at all.
After seeing Chandra, Garruk is looking better and better. This was supposed to be the flagstone to the set and I was a little dissapointed. Pinging a creature wasn't great in Firebrand, and now it's been "upgraded" by also pinging a player too?
It is really sad that Ral Zarek felt more of the power level I'd feel coming from red than Chandra herself, especially after all the hype and Felicia playing Chandra in the promo. Really dissapointed, but the rest of the set is actually not so bad. This goes right up there with the "Guild Champions" from Dragon's Maze, but not as bad since the rest of the set seems fine.
worse than firebrand too. At least with firebrand you know what your doing with the middle ability, and you get what you want with the + ability anyway...
I really hope this is the last we see of this character, she has failed us so many times now.
Wow they just refuse to print a decent Chandra don't they? This should cost RRR and even 1RR wouldn't have been overpowered in my opinion....
You won't play the 0 ability the turn she comes down unless she was a late topdeck or you're hunting for a land. A 4 mana Scorching Spear is pretty horrible, and how many X/1s are sticking around on turn 4? The ultimate will never go off and isn't even a guaranteed win. Worse than the firebrand IMO (Still better than mega-overcosted chandras 1 and 2 though)
So... nobody cares about how much better her +1 is than Chandra, the Firebrand? Instead of one, you get both. And you get a free Panic as well? That's value. When you need someone to win the small game, look no further.
The 0 is interesting, to say the least. Temporary Future Sight makes sense as part of Red's color pie. I think it's a lot more playable than it looks at first glance; in many Red decks, this just reads as "draw a card", which is incredible for them.
I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
She's clearly set up to support an aggressive creatures-and-burn strategy. Being forced to play a card on your turn doesn't matter so much when you're top-decking and digging for creatures and direct damage, and the first ability is obviously meant to enable attacks and give extra reach. Her ultimate is a bit at odds with the rest of her but it can be a last-ditch effort to get that last burn spell and finish them off. Though I'd rather just draw cards with her instead, in that situation.

"Pyromancer has too much Latin in it for the grammar school crowd, guys. I know... let's call her a Pyromaster!"
New Gemhide Sliver is legit, though I'm kinda sad it's not common.

I expected her to not be good like other people expected, and I'm not disappointed.

Except, you if you decide to not use the exiled card this turn, you lose it for the rest of game.
Ugh, I'd take the original Chandra over this one any day. 3 incarnations and they can't get it right.
