This set is a blessing to me, because I don't have to spend any money on it. Modern Masters destroyed my credit card bill. I'm glad to be given a break from buying awesome new product.

It's sad that we wouldn't be able to make infinite loops anymore (the video where LSV nearly breaks MODO with infinitely looping Oblivion Rings is just about the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life).

There is a bunch of good commander reprints.....
(Darksteel forge, Door of destinies, Fireshrieker, Wild ricochet, err trading post :S,etc.)

and some good uncommons.. but otherwise eh.

I will have to wait to see what theo's brings, perhaps some of these cards will be better.

Limited looks alright though.. there is nice overlap is all the colour pairs and not just allied ones.

I kinda wished I'd have better dragons to go with Scourge of Valkas to make their way into my Intet, the Dreamer EDH deck but ah well hopefully they are actually residing in Theros.

I'm glad to see Mutavault, Quicken, and Darksteel Forge come back.

I love Savage Summoning, Shadowborn Apostle, and Strionic Resonator.

I gave this set the finger when I saw Domestication at Rare. Screw you Limited. Thank fully I'm just going to pick up the good slivers and add them to my EDH deck. Could always use more mana dorks and a Hellrider-esque Sliver.

Just as I anticipated, a set so terrible that it has left me with the ability to fully abuse the capabilities of the powerhouse that is the Tenacious Dead in post rotation standard.. Muh-hahaha!

I wonder if they are trying to phase out protection, with the Fiendslayer Paladin having just part of it. Brave the Elements is still in, but I know the ability is not particularly intuitive.

Silence wasnt competitive the last time it was printed. It's unlikely to change anytime soon.

I've only seen one deck play silence, and that deck is a legacy one...

This set looks like it will be fun to draft, but terrible for value. So I'll probably do 2-3 drafts and call it a set.

I really want to use it with Elite Arcanist though. It's a craptacular plan, but it could still make for a fun lock.

Please tell me this is a joke. Please. This set looks so bad. I understand it is a core set but that doesn't mean it has to be full of utter crap. Considering Wizards has been making a big deal out of their 20th anniversary, I can't think of a worse way of showing off than this steaming pile. The only plus side from this is I won't be buying any boxes and probably few packs. It just doesn't seem worth it when I could potentially open a garbage uncommon as my rare.

I am sad there isn't Unsummon in this core set

Hope it's in the first set of the next block!

Silence is not competitive in standard the card has seem some random SB play in Modern and older formats.

It's a huge card for combo decks to prevent problematic spells from disrupting the combo.

Modern Eggs decks were running it in the SB just recently, before they banned Second Sunrise of course.

Is it just the Johnny in me or is green going to be a must in limited?
