There appears to be 3 words before the "add BBB" with a CMC of "?BB". Not 100% sure on this, but fairly confident.... could be "Destroy target creature, add BBB to your mana pool"
It could be 3BB, Sorcery: Destroy target creature, add BBB to mana pool. The number looks to clearly be a 2 or 3 to me. It's also a common, not an uncommon.
Seems uncommon to me too. If accurate, this is pretty big news as a black sorcery that adds mana, even if it's not a net positive in the end. Maybe they're giving some limited ritual capabilities back to the color?
The image's set symbol is white on black with a white border, uncommon is black on silver with a black border. The predominant color is white, which doesn't even feature on uncommons.
I'm certain on the common aspect, the other details could be a few different values/effects.

it reads 2BB sorcery destroy target creature, add BBB to me. That seems awfully strong in limited, can lead to huge temp swings being able to kill and play a guy without disrupting your board state.

One. Black is allowed to mana ramp, but ONLY into more black.
Two. Core sets tend to be more color bleedy than other sets because Mark Rosewater, a self-described color pie purist, is not involved and thus can not shoot them down (see Hornet Sting, Entangling Vines, etc) so we probably shouldn't take this as too much of a precedent.

That's intriguing. I don't know how good it is, but it's very, very telling that Black has a card that can add mana to its pool at common in a core set. Rituals may still be a red trait, but BTE chain effects may be getting a bit of a shift.
Whaaat?? Adding BBB to your mana pool? Haven't seen that since ~Odyssey.

It's really hard to tell, I'd say. It seems like there's some silver on the expansion symbol, though taking in account the quality of our picture, it can easily be a little optical illusion created by the movement. But that's also true if it's silver after all. It's just too blurred to state a definite answer.

It looks 2BB to me and it looks like its sorcery speed.
The great news is that mana accel was given to black at least for this set. I miss dark ritual so much though.
Before thinking about the text, I thought it was a 2. I say 3 primarily because 5 mana, sorcery, black removal is a mainstay at common and the power level at 4 mana is incredibly high. 2s and 3s often look similar so I went with the choice that fit the expected power level better.
Think about "2BB: Destroy target creature. Add BBB to your mana pool." at common while 1B: Destroy target non-black creature." is uncommon. Even with the speed difference, I could see myself picking that above Doom Blade.

Contrast the symbol to the type line background. The silver of uncommons is much brighter than the silver of the type line. On the image, the type line is clearly brighter. Also, the lettering on uncommons is black, the center of the symbol is not black. Using clear images of cards and contrasting portions of the card helps a lot with identifying low quality cards.
We just had a 3 mana common instant rotating out and a 4 mana common instant (Grisly Spectacle) that will still be in play. I wouldn't mind see it as common even though it looks like its going to be uncommon since its a core set.

I would only really not mind seeing it common because I don't plan on drafting m14 much. Having it at common would be one more reason to not draft the set =|

Hey, lolis with katanas are awesome, and I don't care about their home country.
I'd assume this costs 3BB like every other "expensive Murder sorcery with marginal upside" card made for limited, but 2BB would be a pleasant surprise.
This is a bleed for black, but only marginally so since it isn't actually accelerating you to more mana, just refunding a portion of the spell's cost.
At common this means I can draft mono black and have lots of fun
Do we know if it's a sorcery or instant?

I'm glad you don't make that decision. You need someone like that on your team to help keep things in check, otherwise color bleeds everywhere.

Moving Rituals back in Black just muddies the waters on what sort of mana acceleration Black should have.
