I like how the zombie can remove Loxodon Smiter without much problem. With Ravnica, I think this will most probably stay in maindeck instead of sideboard.
Not sure if Blind Obedience on a stick will be that good though, but with a body, I guess she can help with blitz strategy to swarm your opponent before they can stabilize to block. Well, something tells me that Electrickery will be sideboard material when that happens.

It hits almost every relevant creature in standard. the only ones I can think of that it doesn't hit is Olivia, Falkenrath and thundermaw hellkite. A 3/1 body also trades with half of thragtusk and the intimidate gets it past reckoner. I feel like it is close to maindeckable but not quite. Very good Sideboard card though
i love all 3 cards spoiled today. I wish the blue enchant was cheaper. It will go on to cause so much chaos in EDH which is why i love it ^_^. The white creature is nice but id rather go with the enchantment. Much harder to get rid of.

I think you're seriously undervaluing the zombie. I bet pretty strongly that he's going to be a presence in Standard sideboards for a while, at the very least until we see what Theros might bring us. I'm not calling it a Tarmojace (props to whomever came up with that term), but it's definitely at least decent.
And if you were looking for date-appropriate spoilers, you should have been hoping for them to preview a red card instead of the black one so that the spoiled cards would be red, white, and blue.
Seems to me like the zombie is mainboardable in this current meta.
assuming the deck running the zombie goes first, that the smiter is in hand, and that there isnt' any form of removal for the zombie.
i'm not impressed with it at all.
Even if the smiter is in play, the zombie can get through without any problem, and removing the zombie does nothing since the card is permanently exiled.
You're way too standard-minded if you think the Sovereign is anywhere near Snapcaster level, yes the girl is pretty cute but she's a much weaker Blind Obedience that dies to everything.
She's white weenie material, the "power two drops" are good in any deck of it's colors.

Yes sir, I take fantasy art and character design commissions, PM me for rates.
Love the enchantment. It's hilarious. Going straight into my Cub(e). Zombie's fun too. Not sure if the white Human is better over Blind Obedience, but at least it's not redundant to play more than one of her.
Is the blue enchantment really that bad? I mean, it feels to me like the kind of card that could break completely open in standard if wizards printed a Soltari Guerrillas style card again. Of course, given how absurdly rare that effect is, and that wizards will intentionally avoid such a design with this in standard, thats about a one in a million chance now.
Of course, no better than the cheaper cowardice or horobi, but worth a try
The enchantment had SO much potential to be good. I'm so sad the flavorrrrr! Will try to fit it in EDH somehow with Cauldron of Souls to make my opponents go on a sac'ing spree!
Imposing Sovereign is definitely going in SBs for Naya aggro.
I sorta like the zombie. Seems more of a Junk Reanimator hoser than anything else.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
Corrupt + Mutilate are the key pieces of that puzzle. Regardless of how 1 might feel.
The other things that are traditionally required
A: a mana accelerator
B: a persecute effect. (discard 3 cards would work. also)
C. Duress.
D. A lobotomy effect.
That's the deck. So you're assertion of "No it won't" is kind of spam like.
That being said.
I do like that zombie. I do think its overpriced for MBC but ... zombies... zombies could be good but that's not the right price for that creature. Its one of those situations of "2cc or bust".
I can see though (and I might be the only one) that this thing is targeting loxodon smiter for whatever reason... exile. Don't know why.

To be specific, I'm referring to Jarrod Bright's infamous Corrupter MBC from a good decade or so ago.
I played the hell out of this deck when I was younger, and it remains near and dear to my heart. Unfortunately, when trying to recreate it for Standard (including stuff from M14), I ran into a bit of an issue.
That issue just got fixed with the introduction of Lifebane Zombie.
The really interesting thing about this deck is that Standard back then (Odyssey/Onslaught) was very, very similar in terms of metagame to how it is now. Like, eerily similar.
Thus, it is my firm belief that my remake of Corrupter will end up being very viable, for the same reasons the original one was.
Imposing Sovereign: It's playable in Standard but seriously why its not an Advisor?
I don't really care for the stupid race/class thing they went for in the first place, not with all the cards that refer to creature type looking at that middle row. Calling 'Advisor' as a creature type for Coat of Arms? Stupid.
As is, when was the last time that an advisor was being bowed to and not doing the bowing?
I love them all, zombie will find a home in standard or modern, human will be very fun in standard and the blue enchantment comes down the turn after Aboshan, Cephalid emperor in my cephalid stax edh deck very successful night to me
Dismiss into dream - Decent finisher
white dude - blind obedience with a body, not quite as good imo
new zombie - wizards answer to loxodon smiter, but it's still a 3/1 fear for 3 plus essentially discard, I can believe it'll see play. anything else. not bad.

Omg you guyz, last time, there was this new guy in the shop, and he had like the most boring, noninteractive deck I ever played against. He just destroys everything and I can't, like, swing for over 9000 damage with my uncounterable, hasted, hexproof durdles. Worst game eveeeer.

I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Are you just being contrary, or do you have anything to back your opinion up? I'm interested to hear.

About good red 2-drops, doesn't Ash Zealot count?
I dunno, seems fun with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind.
(though stuff like Sword of Kaldra and Basilisk Collar are probably better)

lifebane zombie is really cool. high impact against the right decks, hard to block, and very aggressively costed.
the first thing i saw on dismiss into dream was the word "illusion", which excited me until i saw everything else. nothing to note here folks.
