For what it's worth, the opposite of evergreen is "deciduous" so I suggest we start using that from now on to refer to shroud, banding, islandhome, etc.
Question, did we ever have Millstone confirmed? I know it was rumored from a reliable source but now it's in the Card image gallery and I don't remember seeing it there before.
Also Wizards! I want my red hate card! I don't want to get my hopes up, but with all the other ones being quite strong(Witchstalker to some extent) I can't help it.
You didn't hear?
It's a 1/1 for 3RRRR that says "Blue and White spells your opponents control cost 0 to cast."

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
The white human looks playable but nothing compared with Snap/Tarmo/others. Blind Obedience didnt see play so i wonder if this thing will. BO was much more difficult to get rid of, and could slowly drain your opponent life. (But hey, its a Human)
The black one looks cool, but its silly that it cant be dropped before voice.
The enchantment is just unplayable, even in EDH.
To put it simply, aggro very much appreciates the 2 power body. This will see play, since it's good in the hyper aggro mirror and can be the difference between Midrange stabilizing versus you or not.
I have blind obedience to side in against aggro, I don't see myself doing anything different with imposing sovereign. An Enchantment is much harder to get rid of, and the extort adds up so i don't even know if i will switch it out.
Sovereign and Blind Obedience do the roughly the same thing, but are made for different decks. They also serve different purposes. Blind Obedience is to slow aggro down imo, while Sovereign is made to help aggro decks get through blockers.
Imposing Sovereign: It's playable in Standard but seriously why its not an Advisor? Lifebane Zombie: Playable in Standard and modern ( if it could choose a non creature card it would be soo good). Dismiss into Dream: Playable in Commander (wizardzzz).
I'm not big into Red, but it is *really* overdue a great 2 drop.
Burning-Tree Emissary. Besides, the '2 drop cycle' isn't in any way intentional design, it's purely some theoretical that a large chunk of the playerbase thinks exists. That and Imposing Sovereign likely isn't on the same level as crazy cards like 'Goyf, Confidant and Stoneforge Mystic.
That being said, the card is still quite good. It's strong for White based aggro decks, denying your opponent blockers, and against other aggro it can help swing the race in your favour (and defend you from hasty creatures). That goes all the way up to some midrange variants; turning off Thundermaw Hellkite for a turn can make a world of difference.
Lifebane Zombie is pretty awesome. Almost unblockable 3/1s for 3 aren't too shabbym, and riping for value is going to be awesome.
The silly enchantment is silly. I prefer my silliness in the form of cool things like Rooftop Storm, so I'll pass.
WOW Imposing Sovereign (though I think its awkward she has no class) and Lifebane Zombie are SWEET. Both should see plenty of T2 play and maybe have shots at older formats. They look good for Cubes too.
loving Impsing Sovereign to pair with maybe Xathrid Necromancer, Blood Baron, Cartel Aristocrat, Fiendslayer Paladin, Sin Collector, Liliana's Reaver in some sort of Orzhov Aggro Deck. If one thing is for sure there is a lot of good 3CMC or less White and Black Cards that are going to be in Standard.
The enchantment is pretty junky, they say it's for EDH, but I still think it's pretty worthless.
Imposing Sovereign is pretty awesome, and I wouldn't mind having a playset.
Lifebane Zombie is also very awesome, and will probably help Black considerably in Standard. The art is fairly cool too. I am a little peeved that nearly every good creature in Black wizards has printed in the last few years has been a zombie (Oh you want to play Black? Clearly you want to play zombies). The name is pretty horrible too.
White keeps looking better and better this expansion. Imposing Soveriegn works better in aggro decks than BO since it has a body. It will make my Boros deck have a much easier time with the insanely fast Gruul Aggro decks I see at my LGS.

With the printing of Imposing Sovereign when can I expect to see "AGGRO IS DEAD" posts showing up?
Hopefully there wont be too many of those. If anything this card is made for a WW aggro deck, and outside of those few times when Blitz wants to block this won't be slowing them down too much.
Also, while it is sad that our Zombie friend comes down a turn after VoR, you're going to outrace VoR damage wise w/intimidate, and usually you're going to grab that Thragtusk or Resto Angel that was going to come down next turn and cause the real trouble.

I'll take 30 of them in foil; I should have a dollar lying around here somewhere.

thanks to mr. stuff for the full metal panic sig.
Indeed- I also forgot about Thalia, Guardian of Thraben,
and likely several others.

Yeah, um... that's pretty weird. I can't remember the last time a Human card came out with no subtype.
EDIT: Nevermind. This is actually more common than I realized.
I think....
I also noticed that Sam Wolfe Connelly drew what look (to me) like demonic energy wolves.

Hopefully that silences the complainers (who I assumed only complained because they thought it would take up a rare slot).
Also Lifebane Zombie a SB card or MD?
Cash? Credit? Gold? or Jace?
She doesn't have a job. She's independently wealthy, so she doesn't actually have to work.

Young Pyromancer Is extremely solid. Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa seems to feel like its the real deal.

LOVE that zombie. Black needs hand disruption like that on a relevant body.
Who would say that when aggro will be the very deck using it?
