Is Duels 2014 supposed to be released before M14? Are the physicals Duels decks released the same day or after the game itself? I'm just trying to figure out the soonest I can get some of the cards that were spoiled in the DotP 2014 screenshots..
I love that the name of the mass reanimate spell tells me there will be a reprint of Liliana of the Dark Realms in m14.
not necessarily. Mind Sculpt didn't mean Jace, the Mind Sculptor was in m13.
granted, i wouldn't doubt LotDR returning in m14 simply because of the pattern they have been following in the Mxx core-sets with new planeswalkers generally appearing for two consecutive sets. (and no, i don't count Gideon Jura or Sorin Markov as "new".)
which means we are likely ( but not definite) to get a new/different Chandra (already heavily implied), Garruk, and Jace this set (i would say "or different pw's altogether", but i think the pw-themed creatures are next-to-sure-fire confirmation of their return in some form).
Grim Return seems very flexible, I like it, you either return one of your burned creatures, or it can do some cool trick combat stuff. Seems pretty good for 3 mana.
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
I am definitely glad to see ratchet bomb being reprinted in m14. Going to have to get some of those again. Ratchet bomb has always been one of my favorite cards.
You know you're not quite right in your mind when all you can see in those spoilers is an opportunity to make a modern deck that forces a tie by using Sporemound with Life and Limb...
No to make a deck list!
I'm such a crazy bastard ^^
I mean, how often have you an opportunity to see a match slip with 0-1-5 written on it?

At the beginning of your upkeep, look at the top card of your library. If it's a land card, you may put it onto the battlefield.
So.. you just put it right into play? Suprised you don't have to reveal it first. Or at least have that wording on there.

You have to reveal it to put it into play. Normally you put it in your hand so you have to reveal it to prove its really a land.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

You know how black tutors hardly ever say to reveal the card taken? The reason why you need to reveal cards usually is to show the opponent that you weren't cheating by searching for a "Creature card" with worldly tutor and actually nabbing a Lightning bolt. In black tutors like Demonic tutor, there's no way you can cheat when the card you Brought from your deck is 100% "a card." Same with this card, is the top card is a land you put it onto the battlefield because the opponent will see that you cheated if you suddenly put Emrakul, Aeons Tornon the battlefield with it, claiming it was a land. So if an opponent has a way to kill you if you got another land, you could choose to not reveal the plains that you found at the top of your library so he doesnt kill you with the chaotic backlash that is in his hand and add it to your hand.

Even though the last bit you posted there is a bad example, since lands have no color.
Here is a question: does into the wilds land accel count as your land play per turn? I am thinking not. I am liking this card a lot. It has so much potential and can probably be broken. Edh will love this card. Not sure if it is standard playable, as it doesnt garruntee accel. Not to mention, turn 4 is a little late to start accelerated mana.

No. "Put X onto the battlefield" is not playing or casting it. Playing extra lands is always worded as "you may play an extra land."
I wouldn't call Bonfire of the Damned Chandra's last ability, only because its not an exact replica. Perhaps we will get a card in M14 or in the future for both Jace and Chandra's 1.0 abilities. I could see Jace's finale card costing between 6-7 and Chandra's costing within the 10-12 range. Then again they could be cheaper; Liliana's is a pretty powerful ability, but only costs 9... Overrun costs 5...

Don't forget Slivers are called "Remasuri" in German... what the heck.
What people don't get is that it is a bad idea to run a deck full of non-basics. People deserve to be punished for such greed.
