The new design looks stupid as hell though. They had an interesting and unique look before. Now they're some bland stupid ****. They could be sliths or any number of generic humanoids.
They look too mechanical and too much like ****ing Predator with those stupid metal dreadlocks.
Those same people told us that their iconic look and abilities affect ALL slivers, was what made slivers slivers. Tricksy Wizards with their lies and deceit.
Wish we could say that for real, sadly though you have to remember the effects of time. Wizards has most likely lost a lot of their older staff by now and with new people running things promises and ideas from the past weigh less.

Pretty much this. Sadly. Not that new people can't deliver a good or even better work then old ones, but they will screw up tradition in the blink of eye to build their own identity.

I forsee many would have their sliver cards altered, to reflect the old school look. For Sentinel Sliver, I would. Man, that is one ugly sliver.
Here's hoping that if they ever do a FNM promo for these new guys, it would look old school. I kinda doubt it, if they made the FNM myr enforcer look so un-myr like, maybe the demographic for these new slivers won't know any better.

I'm considering it, purely because I anticipate my OCD will go ape if I bear witness to different sets of Slivers in my EDH deck. I actually like the new look, but aren't the same guys I feel in love with back in Time Spiral.

I think that's actually a possibility, especially considering the fact that many honchos at Wizards have seen a large amount of disappointment on the topic of the Neo-Slivers. I guess only time will tell though.
Maybe Slivers in Modern Masters (If there will be any) will look like Neo-Slivers.
Right. What the hell ? I mean, I couldn't make heads or tails of what slivers were before, but at least they looked unique.

Peace, everyone. Using your logic, there are no planeswalkers in M14 because none have been spoiled yet. There will be blue and black slivers. Simply because they changed the art direction doesn't mean that they'll limit slivers to three random colors now.
^
For sure, especially when 21 (Blue) cards, and 19 (Black) cards have been revealed. Damn it, I wanted Hexproof, Lifelink, and Deathtouch slivers!
I have more unkind thoughts about the changed Sliver likeness, to be discussed later.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hexproof Sliver... I think not. Unless it cost something like 4GGUU, that would be one of the most degenerate cards ever printed for a tribal deck because of what Slivers would do under Hexproof that they can't do under Shroud (mostly, it's regenerate). And 4GGUU still may be a little cheap to give that effect to all Slivers.

Man, couldn't WOTC read my post in the mothersite correctly? All I asked for was a replica of the red green white sliver evolution deck from timespiral, along with all time spiral block theme decks, on DOTP 2014, not include red, green, and white slivers in M14.

You can already regenerate slivers under shroud with Clot Sliver, so that's hardly that important. The main thing they gain under hexproof but not shroud is the ability to hold a Jitte.

Hi this has been disturbing me...
Since there are still no mana slivers in town will Slivers see play. Well aggro i bet they can. Since we still have rancor.
But a true deck? Meh i don't think too overcosted cards in my opinion
We still miss the two uncommon green Slivers, so there is a good chance one of them has a mana ability.

Sorry but it's not the same logic.
Planewalkers are only two mythic rares in a entire large set.
Blue/Black slivers (if following the same proportions of other slivers) are entire 10 cards distributed on common, uncommon and rare.
Other point is, they are spoiling slivers. It makes no sense for then to spoil so many white, red and green slivers and zero of the other two colors.

The Sliver spoilers are all from DOTP14, which has a white-green-red colored Sliver deck, so there aren't any U/B Slivers to spoil. Also there are 5 planeswalkers, not 2

Two uncommon green slivers? Last I checked, the breakdown was 2 common, 1 uncommon, and 1 rare per color.
Counting the artifact sliver, that's a total of 15 Sliver cards, 23 if we do have blue ad black slivers. When it comes to returning mechanics in core sets, that number is above average. M13 only had 11 exalted cards. M12 only had 10 bloodthirst cards. M11 only had 5 scry cards. Although it's an increasing trend, it doesn't seem to bode well for we who hope for blue and black slivers. Straw that'll break the camel's back if true.
