Is there any word on Shandalar Paladin's status yet? It has to be monowhite because it's in a monowhite deck; its card name is 100% known; and yet it can't fit in the crunch based on confirmed collector numbers.
The sole possibility seem to be that it's... Card number 217, an artifact creature.
There hasn't been anything that I've heard, and while it could be an artifact creature, I imagine some misinformation got out to someone's source on the number crunch. The name "Shandalar Paladin" sounds very much like a White Creature. That's just my guess though.
I have a feeling that the "Shandalar Paladin" is likely to be the Dawnstrike Paladin which is already in the crunch. It makes the most sense based on the limited information we have right now.

Well, we will know this time next week if the Steam release info is accurate for that platform at least. Fairly sure that this Shandalar Paladin doesn't exist and is just the Dawnstrike with a mis-recorded name.
So does this indicate that M14 will be the first set that featured the Slivers without a 5-color Sliver legend?
There were plenty of "sets" that had slivers but not a 5-color legend, but all of those "blocks" had the legends.
But honestly, do we really need a sliver legend, let alone in a core set? I think that slivers on their own, even if only in Naya at the moment would be good enough for M14. Core sets are not the place to introduce those kinds of legends. Especially not for slivers who, in the past were tied fairly heavily to story elements.
That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.
224 (artifact) could be either Trading Post or Torpor Orb, if we restrict it to being a rare.
...
Orb could be reprinted as a reaction to the proliferation of ETB abilities in standard.
The first thing I thought when I saw the reprint of Ratchet Bomb was Torpor Orb would have been a much better choice exactly due to what you say about ETB effects.
How do we know that Molten Birth is 146 and not 147? Do we have a picture clear enough to see it plainly? I'm just really wanting a Disciple of Bolas reprint, but with no room for Mindclaw Shaman it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I can understand that it might be rude but how is that comment insulting to you in any way?
One of the definitions of rude is "offensive in manner or action." The response was deliberately rude, therefore it is also insulting, especially since written communication allows for time to craft a response.
That response could have been written as "A quick glance at the first post reveals that, no, there isn't room for Incinerate." Or "Per the name and number crunch, no, there isn't room." As written, the subtext of that response is "you idiot," which is hilariously confirmed by one of the following responses.
For a forum that prides itself on attempting to foster civil discourse, it has certainly succeeded in attracting the lowest common denominator.
Meh, you're lazy and couldn't be bothered to read enough to find your own answer... in the first post even, and are now apparently butthurt when someone pointed that fact out to you. The sentence you're looking for was "Whoops, my bad!" Save the self righteous indignation for something that isn't your own damn fault.

You realize your proving his point by being a complete ****head?
For Incinerate to be in the set, it would have to be between #142 and #143, which is impossible. Since the cards are listed alphabetically it can't be anywhere else, so it isn't in M14.

That's how you answer and educate others to understand how number crunching works, at least in my opinion
I find it interesting that they're providing Shock but not Incinerate or Searing Spear. Hopefully that means we'll see fewer guys with toughness of 3 and more with 2. Otherwise... well, I suppose we also have Mizzium Mortars, but that's Sorcery speed. Ick.

Thank you. That is the answer I was looking for.
It's sad to note that others believe honest questions should be met with rudeness.

Mogis, God of Slaughter
Daxos of Meletis
Shandalar Paladin is reportedly the exact name of a card that will be in DOTP's "Guardians of Light" Deck.

That is a valid question about confirmation (if the unconfirmed taking of the spot by Vastwood Gorger is the only reason).
As far as speculation, Titanic Growth seems unlikely in this core set with Giant Growth reportedly back.
Still missing 2 Mythics.

Post could be in as a reprint since it is a solid card even if it is currently not seeing a lot of play due to the number of artifacts in standard.
Orb could be reprinted as a reaction to the proliferation of ETB abilities in standard.

There are 4 mythics missing, one green creature, two planeswalkers and another unknown mythic.

That's a nicely rude and insulting response.
