Wow, good catch! Given the other names we have never seen (Ogre Battledriver), I tend to believe it. I always thought this would make a great core set card.
The link also has the names of the intro pack rares:
Five cards from Magic 2014 – Duels of the Planeswalkers will also be appearing as foil face cards in the Magic 2014 Intro Packs including Liliana’s Reaver, Garruk’s Horde, Chandra’s Phoenix, Jace’s Mindseeker, and Ajani’s Chosen.
Which in turn confirms the Lorwyn 5 are returning.
If this guy IS gonna be an M14 Mythic, watch its price soar through the roof. Not only will it affect Standard, it'll have a HUGE modern impact as well.
...I'm gonna take a Standard break for a while, my wallet is already cringing in pain.

Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
WTH? Why do we X-Box players get screwed over with a freaking Sliver-Card??? I don't play slivers. I don't want anything to do with the new slivers and it certainly wont be any good in anything else than a sliver-deck.........that's very disappointing if true. Especially when other platforms like Steam are getting a card, that is awesome and can be used in practically every deck that runs green......
It changes every year. Two years ago Xbox had the awesomest Grave Titan promo. Last year PS3 got Nocturnus. This year tablets get Ooze, but we still don't know what the sliver or the other card does.
I thought all the Duels promos have been mythic so far.
I hope it's a rare simply because at mythic it's going to be another 100 dollar card.
Also we all know it's not going to replace goyf. Chances are people are going to run both lol. What a joke. Just print it at rare and reprint goyf as well. Mythic rarity is killing magic.

Really hard to say what happens to the price of Ooze. I consider myself a bit of an expert on Ooze's price.
My immediate thoughts are:
-Mythic rare
-Proven "Eternal" card
-Goyf and Shaman Killer
-Pre sale price is immediately $30 with potential to go higher depending on how the market responds
-Opens Scavenging Ooze market to Modern, and Standard. Effectively increasing demand by 800-900%
-Short term (less than 2 years) i would think to see a dip in price.
-Long term, This opens ooze up to be in Modern, which means very good long term future value as it will become an instant format staple.
-Price memory: People "see" Ooze as a "$30+" card
The card seems much cooler for it's reprint value and use in older formats. I really do not see it making a huge impact on standard. At least not before rotation, and I think that alone will be enough to lower the price to some degree, even if printed at mythic.

Ya because grave titan and vampire nocturnus are totally on the same level as scavenging ooze. at the time they were promos they were already on their second major printing (both had shown in 2 core sets and core sets have a much higher print rate than the commander decks). Grave titan and nocturnus are both at $4 right now. and they aren't gonna take a dramatic shift up. if scavenging ooze gets printed in modern it's price will at least double maybe triple. It answers Goyf while simultaneously being a better version of goyf.
Assuming they print it at Rare, the price goes way down. The print run on Counterpunch pre-cons was low compared to the print run of a core set (I believe, I don't have the numbers on me and I may be miss-remembering). Keep in mind, it will open the card up to standard and modern play (where it is incredibly good) so initial pre-order prices will likely be high as everyone and their dog rushes to get a playset.

Erm, given how much DOTP costs on steam, getting 20 or so of your friends to preorder. Wouldn't that be better ? I mean pay for their games, ask for the promo card. Its a double win situation rite?
Edit: Just in case its true. I am contacting every friend I know on steam and FB and offering to pay for their DOTP game in exchange for the promo card redemption
So, according to this link:
http://www.digitallydownloaded.net/2013/05/more-information-on-magic-2014-duels-of.html
The 3 DotP 2014 promos have been revealed, and one of them is Scavenging Ooze
As past years, the promos have been in their respective core set as mythic rare.
Could this mean that the ooze will be part of standard as a mythic in M14?
If so, then green gets another mythic hate bear =)
Thoughts?
Edit:
Confirmed returning cards in m14:
Chandra's Phoenix
Garruk's Horde
New Rare Cards:
Liliana’s Reaver
Jace’s Mindseeker
Ajani’s Chosen
I actually hope it's printed; sounds like it'll mix things up a bit.

Oh, good observation! And two of those are existing cards, too.

Drives down the ridiculous price tag, and gives Modern a sweet new threanwser to play with

Wishful thinking. The price would raise if he is printed at mythic.
