Can you please type in proper spelling. l33t is pretty much a dead language. Most internet browsers have free spell check built in.
Now, back to the cards at hand and where the discussion is heading. Mythics do not need to be tournament quality - they just need to be unique, fun, splashy, & most of all, feel like a "mythic" to the Johnny's/Timmy's/Spike's.
Misthollow Griffin and Helvault got fringe play, but look at them, they're mythic in nature. They still get their kitchen table and EDH fun on.
Dragon - Probably too slow for competitive constructed, but not terrible, especially if he is an environment where there are likely to be meaningful targets to ping when he etb's. As someone else mentioned, firebreathing is more lethal than people realize and we don't usually see it at this price point. I think this guy is strong enough to see play, I just don't see a deck that wants him. Red aggro wants faster/cheaper finishers and control generally will look further up the curve for more powerful 6+ drops. Maybe if a Big Red style control deck was viable? Great in EDH dragon tribal with Karthus though.
Sphinx - EDH/limited bomb.
Condor - Limited bomb, I could see this guy winning a lot of games for you
Minotaur - The fact that this is a 4/6 is an abomination. Minotaurs generally clock in at ~3/3...so what in the heck makes this one so powerful? If it was some sort of lord/legend I could see it, but this is a crappy common that even has its own flavor text talking bad about it.

It's hard to see in that resolution, but could it be skaab-like? You know, "improved" with additional body parts.
Windreader Sphinx pretty much confirms that there is no 5cmc mythic cycle. It's very unlikely that we'll see Sphinx and a 5cmc blue mythic creature. Also, Scourge's color weight is out of symmetry.
I thought it's a rare. Oh well.
Don't forget that Thundermaw gets a "bonus turn" with haste.
Not the same thing. L33t is dead like manga-style art is dead in art schools. Trust me on this. If a student at an art school continues to create manga-style work, even after being told to knock it off - industry folks will not hire you, and they are shunned and not taken serious at the school; not even by faculty.
And even if it was a typo, most internet browsers these days have little red squiggly lines under the misspelled word. It's just constructive criticism; I wasn't rude, or over-stepping a line, or being a "jerk" as some may think. And it's in my nature to correct on grammatical errors (I have a single subject credential in English). Funny though, I sometimes make grammatical mistakes myself. But I don't curse the person, retaliate, or shrink into a corner. I correct the mistake and move on. If he corrects the mistake, I'll change this silly rant into part of the discussion at hand and act as if nothing happened.
Yay for cheaper dragons! Seems okay; EDH friendly obviously and perhaps playable in standard depending on what dragons we see. I really like the Sphinx though. There's not much riddle too it, but a 3/7 flying blue creature for 5 mana that draws a card seems pretty good. Plus it pumps up all flying creatures to that ability too.
EDIT - I just realized the Sphinx costs 7 and not 5... Major letdown...
Useless dragon is useless. Goodbye Thundermaw....they won't be printing 2 mythic mono red dragons in 1 core set....so that is that. We get one year of standard with a playable dragon and that is all.
Annnnnd we're right back to having mythic dragons be pieces of crap again. ALL HAIL THE STATUS QUO!
If this effect had been on a smaller tribe it probably would've been incredible. But when you regularly pay 6 mana for each Dragon, adding only one extra ping's worth of damage is weak, weak stuff.

you can generally tell the easiest road to victory by how many players congregate on it; and the road of counterspells/control has been the freeway of choice in magic for quite some time.

What I find offensive is not that Wizards is endeavoring to make the game more accessible, but the attitudes of elitists who act as though no one of any age should show their face in the Magic public without first having mastery over the complexities of the game.
I like these cards, they're strong enough but not too strong, playable in EDH without having clearly been made for it (arguable on the sphinx), just good solid design.
I don't know if you guys were watching the pro tour this past weekend but they had a long shot of Sarkhan the planeswalker in the background of the tables (i forget what round it was in). I'd imagine that he is going to be a planeswalker either in M14 or Theros. This dragon would def complement him.

That is disappointing, especially if this is the replacement. I am not interested in the new Dragon at all....

It has the strength of seven men. In fact, it used to be seven men.

The titans taught Wizards not to reprint the powerful core set mythics because people would get sick of fighting them over and over.
Rest are meh.

Yeah, that's why he's 3 turn clock and not 4.

M14 is shaping up mighty fine in terms of new stuff
M13 didn't have a lot of exciting cards but it was one of the best draft experiences ever

the sphinix is also good but better in multiplayer the rest was known
Not. Valkas is a location on Shandalar, which is basically the main location of most recent core sets.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Why is playing against the same expert level expansion mythics over and over again more fun than playing against core set mythics over and over again?
