Well I for one am very excited for this product.
I'm concerned about shortages though... Time will tell.
If I can get a box or two at msrp ($168) I'd be happy!
I just hope I have better luck than I did with Worldwake...
Three boxes and not a single JTMS.

Don't want to bust your bubble, but I put the chances of MM selling at MRSP (by the pack or box) slightly worse than 0%.
Those of us that have been around long enough to watch onslaught fetches come in and leave standard would like a word.
Fetches will get reprinted, doubtful it will be in standard with shocks, but whats to say they wont reprint the allied colors in MM and the enemy colors when RTR cycles.
Theres more than one way to drop the price of a card. if something like the following was printed goyf would lose its position as king of the 2 drop pretty fast.
Burning sensation- instant: ~ deals 3 damage to target creature or player. Creatures dealt damage this way lose their abilities until EoT.
We'd all be like: Wow, i cant sell my goyf/thragtusk's fast enough wizards, thanks. *ragequit
except me (and others like me) that play this game for fun. We'd all just be stoked for more utility.
While that card does hose Thragtusk there already are tons of cards that kill Tarmogoyf at 2 mana. Red does have a lot of trouble stopping 3/4 or bigger Tarmo's to be sure but black has about a million ways to kill Tarmo at 1B or so.
Spending 2 mana to kill a 2 drop is pretty far from what I'd call "hosing." When threats and answers are merely equal strength, advantage goes to the threat. Goyf might not win that many games in such an environment, but it would still be played in every deck that could support the mana and "attack opponent with creatures" strategy, because why not.

I didn't mean that Doom Blade hoses Goyf, what I meant was that his card won't cause Tarmo to suddenly see 0 play. It would probably affect Thragtusk more in Standard then it would ever effect Tarmo.
I honestly have no damn clue what you were saying. I'm giving you allowance because I'm assuming English isn't your first language and you're not doing terribly with it as a second language, but that doesn't make your posts easier to read.
Wow resorting to cliche veiled insults rather than backing up your statements.

Why do people think fetches aren't coming back soon? There's literally no reason to believe that. The only reason they wouldn't bring them back is if something in the format breaks them.[/QUOTE]
There have been tons of reason's given already. How long does it take key rares get a second printing out side of the coreset? How does it benfit Wotc to reprint them soon rather than wait for modern masters 2, or return to zendikar?
A 40 dollar mythic rare would constitute a must have 4 of that goes in many decks.
Stats About Mythics
-Mythics are on average 40% rarer than pre-mythic rares
(old blocks about 200 rares, Mythic blocks 35+ mythics)
-They are printing more new cards a year not less
(about 665 now vs. 630 in most pre-mythic block)
-To drop the value of a rare by $1 a mythic must go up $2
-In a 3 year time span deck prices doubled. I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause.
I find that hard to believe. No LGS is going to take MSRP on what is practically guaranteed to be the hottest MTG related product this year.
They are going to print a fair amount of this, otherwise stores without Modern stock still won't have stock and very little incentive to push Modern, maybe nice a month.
Also,Hasbro had a bad year and GTC is looking like it wont be nearly as successful as RTR.
FTV series shows that WoTC can actually print a fair amount of product without tanking values. Every store can order 20-40 copies based on their level and it barely changes the prices of the most played cards.
For each mythic WoTC could easily print enough boxes that each store has enough boxes that every store gets enough to open 20 sets of Mythics. The trick is just move a lot of the really good lower rarity cards up one level so the market doesn't get flooded.
At $7 a pack and a foil in each pack there has to be a lot of filler. If every pack was just filled with good commons/uncommons they would almost be worth the pack price.
Also when it was said the print run was limited in was in context to the RTR print run, if I remember correctly.
Not saying my points are correct as I don't work for WoTC and am speculating just like you.
Personally after this set I think they will have accomplished their short term goals. They sill have made mana bases more affordable and reprinted the most expensive card in the format, and likely a few of the other top cards.
Sure there wont be enough Goyfs for everyone but that's similar to Standard. If every player wanted 4 Thundermaw Hellkites there wouldn't be enough if them either.

I highly doubt they will go over the MSRP honestly. Maybe towards the end when they stop printing it, but the first print run will probly not be an issue with cost. It all depends on how many total print runs of the product they do of course.
My local store will be selling mm at mark up, hell they sold us Commanders arsenal at actual mark up(£50) (Which was amazing in its self). Hopefully got my name down for a box :).
I'd really love to see fetchs reprinted but ill admit there is little need when the set is barely a few years old.

Fetches won't be in this set It's Mirrodin (or 2003) to Shards of Alara (or 2009).. anything from Zendikar forward not eligible.
I predict we'll get 5 allied color paired filter lands this set and 5 off color ones the next MM. Definitely seeing Mutavault in this one or the next one.

I just want people who redraft to admit this:
"I can't draft objectively unless I am able to guarantee that I receive at least 3 rares. I am also better than most average/new players so I want to make sure that I get the best rares and they end up with worse ones. I care more about the monetary value of cards than actually playing the game for decent prizes."
"Talkin outta turn....That's a paddlin'. Starin' at my sandals....That's a paddlin'. Paddlin' the school canoe....You better believe that's a paddlin'!" --Jasper
They have half a year left until it ships, it's not going to have any banned cards in it from at least before April
Anyway the banned cards are easily available already and at low cost.
No one would have been overly joyous to crack open a seething song or BBE in a MM 7$ booster...

Maybe a foil Seething Song would be pretty cool especially if it was the Knights Vs Dragons art.

They can't just go in and take them out of packs or off their already printed sheets. That's a huge revenue loss because they have to toss everything done so far, since it's no longer a proper product.
Also, why is everyone assuming this won't have a healthy print run? I can't imagine they printed a randomized boosters and limited how many they printed. That defeats the point of having a randomized product.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
I wouldn't be surprised if Seething Song is in the set. When it was released, I'm pretty sure that AF said that the draft format will allow one to draft Storm.
Even if both Seething Song and Bloodbraid Elf are both in MM, then it's not the end of the world. Only 1 common and 1 uncommon slot wasted.
Standard: W/R Aggro

There is a chance: own a store that meets WotC requeriment to get cases of MM. yay!
